In 2001 we hadn't quite hit the tech limit or peak skate-stopper, so now I guess there's room for risk, crust and/creativity. Time to recreate that tape and reapply 👍

2001 was such a weird time to be a skater. That was like right when skateboarding went from something I did for fun to something I really identified with and became obsessed with. There were basically two types of acceptable skateboarding; tech ledge/ flip trick guy with baggy pants, or huck down massive gaps and 14 stair handrail guy with spray painted shoes and skinny jeans. It was so fuckin dumb looking back on it. I love how integrated and mixed up skateboarding is now. I wonder how many people got slept on from that era because they didn’t fit the mold.
