To this day, I still have no idea how the other actors kept a straight face when filming a scene with Jim Carrey

This movie was my childhood. The mission impossible scene still makes me laugh.

If you pay attention when Ace is opening and shutting the victims balcony door you will see Lois Einhorn(Ray Finkle) look away and seems uncomfortable. At first I thought it was because she missed an important clue but knowing the ending it makes even more sense that they were nervous because they realized they made a mistake. I love when they give you little hints like that even if you don't realize it at the time.

I was serving in army back in 94 and one vacation friend loaned me this on vhs tape.. damn laughed so hard and ended up watching it multiple times during that weekend. Been jim carey fan ever since 😊

If you are ever feeling kinda down or depressed. Just watch this intro, even if you don't want to watch the movie with them. I love the energy they put off man.

His first starring role was in a vampire comedy called "Once Bitten". In that movie, you can see where the basis for Ace, and Stanley/the Mask came from

If you were to look closely when Ace was going to Rey's house, you can still see Hurricane Andrew Damage from months earlier. Jim Carey was talking about how it looked like a bomb went off in some of the areas where they were shooting the film. The filming was delayed because of the hurricane . Hurricane Andrew was a Cat 5 and did some major damage down here.

I love this movie. Jim Carrey is beyond electric. I honestly would not be surprised if he improvised so many of the gags on the spot. But my favorite scene is the investigation inside Roger Podacter's apartment. Ace is treated like a joke by the Miami PD, but he completely owns every cop and detective in the room by deducing that Podacter's death wasn't a suicide.

I am a Miami Dolphins fan, and my daughter loved comedies, so we bonded over this movie when she was little. The sequel is fun, too.

Jim Carrey is a formidable comedian ... Here in Italy when the film was released, the Italian title was "Ace Ventura the animal catcher". It is a film that is laughed from start to finish especially when he has to find the ring, or when he goes to the psychiatric hospital to discover the true identity of Ray Finkle etc. etc.

For a little bit of trivia, the band in the bar is called Cannibal Corpse and one of Jim Carrey’s favorite bands, which pretty much is how they got the role. In the versions shown on network TV, the band has a second scene where Carrey ends up on stage “singing” with them.

Normally I don't like stupid humor, but with this movie and the 2nd one, the stupid is pushed to absurdity, so I love it lol. Even though I was 13 when I saw this movie when it came out, I didn't get a lot of the adult humor lol. I was so sheltered lol. I ended up using a few of the phrases of this movie, even today like "Alrighty then" and "Take care, bye, bye now then".

The scene in the movie where you see a heavy metal band performing. That was an actual Death Metal band called Cannibal Corpse. According to an interview with the band, Jim Carrey wanted them to be in the movie because he was a big fan. And Jim Carrey was and probably still is a Metalhead.

You guys singing together was the best part. Need a husband JUST like Ace Ventura... Texas will take all four of you. Plenty of room.
