I'm just imagining Ace dancing around a Dalek as it screams "EXTERMINATE" over and over, more and more frantically, but it just can't hit him because his movement is so chaotic. Finally it shutters and explodes and The Doctor just stares in disbelief as Ace be-bops off to find his next victim, then breaks the fourth wall to stare at the audience and ask, "Did you see what he just did????"
what should have happened *dalek aims at aces leg* *ace:* so you’re gonna shoot me eh? do it! I dare ya! *dalek:* EXTERMINATE!!!!!! *dalek shoots aces leg* *ace*: AHHRRGR *looks at the doctor* DONT JUST STAND THERE!!! THROW ME A WEAPON!!!! *doctor throws ace a sword which accidentally sticks into aces leg* *ace:* AAAAAAHHHHH *dalek:* HAHAHAHAHA *ace screams while alternating his hands between his legs*

This all would be fine, except the BBC normally gets not-well-known actors to do the Doctor. We never knew of Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant, William Hartnell, John Pertwee, Matt Smith, Peter Capaldi, Jodie Whittaker, any of them until they later appeared in other media. Yeah, they definitely had Neil Patrick Harris & James Cordon be guests on the show (as well as Catherine Tate), but they excuse NPH since there was probably no one else to fill the role of the Toymaker, and both Catherine Tate & James Cordon are popular in the UK.
