I live off grid. I use the h30 daily for the last 5 years. It's been great, bit recently the lense started rattling and is clearly loose and no longer waterproof. I have emailed the company, awaiting a response. By far the best headlamp I own. I have many others that get used for work (more abusive use), but the H30 is what gets used fir personal use. I love firefly mode for early morning wake up
Glad you like yours too. Such a great light. Sucks about the customer support, but honestly that's the case with most light manufacturers today. It's so annoying
@Traditional Bowhunting And Wilderness Podcast I got a response. They wanted me to send them a video showing the issue, also wanted to know where I bought it. I sent my response this morning. Let u know how it goes
Great review and I love the "no unboxing" comment. That was funny. Lol... I'm definitely getting this headlamp. I make movies and we film in the forest at night a lot. After wrap up have to find and pack all thr equipmemt. Without long lasting headlamps can't find anythimg in pitxh dark. This thing gives you great light at low and you say will run for 7hrs. Wow. That setting is more than enough to find all the gear. Thank you sir!
I have been running headlamps for work for over a decade. Acebeam quality, customer service and innovation are second to none. Best headlamps on the market. The only thing that needs improved from Acebeam is the easy availability of accessories.
Enjoy your site and reviews. Just bought a fenix hm50 v2 today after watching your three reviews of head lamps because it was proven by you and you can use 123's in a pinch.
Love this torch, charging it now as it just arrived. Wondering about the charging indicator. Started Red, now has the periodic green flash. Am I to expect indicator light to be Solid Green when it is fully charged? Thanks!!! Great video!
Be careful. I almost had it start a fire in a bag. Also had it burn a hole through pants, seat cover and leather car seat. Remove the battery when not in use
@@SamkoTradBow it does put pressure on the button for six seconds and it unlocks. That can be pressure in a backpack or pressure from being stuffed into a pocket.
@@seanpurcell6172 I ment the quarter turn of the battery cap. That locks it out perfectly. That's how many head lamps and flash lights do it. And this one does as well
Great review. I want to buy the UV model but i'm not sure what is the difference between the cool white 6500k and the 5000k neutral white. Any answer would be much apreciated. 🤜🤛
6500 will be more blue in color of light. The 5000 will be more yellow. The 6500 will be brighter or appear brighter and is great for around the house or around town. In thr woods the 5000 will render colors more naturally, cut fog and haze better and not reflect as much off trees and vegetation. I have many lights in both and now only buy the 5000 or what many call neutral white
If I was running Id probably go with a smaller size battery like a nitcore with the cr123 size rechargeable. This would work and it has the top strap. but it is on the heavier side of the spectrum. Super stable! but a you will notice the weight over one of the small ultra light lights.
i love this reviews... searching for a new "big" output headlamp. for fishing/hicking loving nitecore, but this acebeam comes in shortlist. i'm wondering about acebeam with better battery doing in ultra low only 200h were Nitecore hc68 is at 800h. thats confusing me . sorry for my english
Yes if you want to go to the 21700 battery. If you want to stay with a 18650 or already use cr123 batteries I recommend the nitecore. Thsts why I reviewed that one first. Most people want a light with the cr123 or 18650. But if going to the 21700 this light is unstoppable!!!
@@SamkoTradBow All my lights take an 18650 and work great. I think I'm more concerned about how long they hold a charge compared to brightness. Thanks for taking time to share this information. Lights are important.
@@SamkoTradBow I'm getting one just like yours with the red/green lights so i can mount on the bow of my boat for navigation lights @ also have a wide nighttime driving beam! 💥 🚣♀️ 🤣 Lol! How about light running off the 18650 battery @ adapter, how much less run time you think it would be? Also nice to have seen some night beam shots with the 18650 battery for comparison since i already have lights that take the 18650. Good review, Thanks. ✌️
Always white light 100% of the time. Even predator hunting now. Did the red and green thing with predators and also on deer while predator hunting. Zero difference from white. So I only run white now
@googleuser3425 2 fantastic brands. I have lights from both. Personally the acebeam h30 is the best headlamp I have ever owned. It spends 90% of its time on low as its so powerful.
@@SamkoTradBow spends 90% of it's time on low? That's a con isn't it? But I've heard turbo max drops down to 1100 lumens and stays at 1100 for 3 hrs so sounds pretty good
@googleuser3425 I use mine for hunting and seldom need more than low. But when im running my boat down the back waters high and turbo are my best friend
Unfortunately you cannot use Turbo Max, Turbo or High for very long…the advertised run times are incorrect. The flashlight requires 3.6 volts to work (in any mode) but when in those modes for a few seconds, the battery drops to 3 volts which isn’t enough to run the light hence the three flashes. The H30 is actually one of the worst headlamps to buy.
I 100% disagree. I use high and turbo all the time. Buy the the high output batteries like the one it comes with. Best head lamp I have ever used. I love it!
zfilmmaker what headlamp do you know that puts out lots of lumens for long run times? I heard acebeam h30 turbo max drops down to 1100 lumens and runs at that 1100lm for over 3 hrs.. 1100 lumens for 3 hrs on a headlamp is about as good as it gets, no? I'm asking ., but after a 4000 lumen drop and still holds 1100... Is there better out there? Imm asking cuz I'm looking for the best. I'm looking for a bright headlamp that holds high lumen out put for long time . Thank you
