Any flashlight that cannot tail stand is a no go for me. However, I do like the V1 beam better for both temperature and even flood.
@leedavison6531
I wasn't too keen on the colour of the v1 but i see what you mean about its low intensity light colour for camping and walking the dog around the streets. The v2 just looks a better light. They are a good compliment to each other. I have the v1 in the yellow tint and waiting on the v2 to arrive.
@DasnarkyRemarky
I second your assessment! The V1 is😅 just such a legend and a huge part of its appeal, among other things, is that warm color temperature. I fell in love with its beam quality when I first got to use it. I don't think the V2 adds any value to the V1 with its cool white temperature. It really takes the essence of the light away. If I needed a cool, throwy Acebeam light, I'd grab the L19 2.0 or the P17.

I like the feathers on the newer 2.0, so I got one, love it, it’s my edc light and sits on my bed side table.

For paranormal investigations such as capturing shadow entities, use the V2. For mounting your L35 on an airgun for hunting then get the V1. The range is spot on as well as the spread. I take Egyption geese quite regularly at 100 metres with my L35 v1 mounted on my Air Venturi Avenger .22 caliber. In fact i bought two L35 v1's and i am as happy as a pig in shit with them. It's still the best tactical flashlight ever made by Acebeam. Period. I guess it's closest rival is the Sofirn C8L. Also a damn good tactical light with an excellent run time and it matches the Acebeam blow for blow and i have one of them as well. Well done, good review.

Omg I was waiting for this video, my old l35v1 loving friend. I bought the v2 in green around 3 weeks ago, complained to acebeam and basicly forced them to ship an old green v1, they said they have none in stock but when j showed them the wrong listing on their website they specially went into storage for me, as the website said they have od green v1 when they lied.
@leedavison6531
Got the v1 and wasnt impressed with the colour. I will have to buy the v2 for the white light.

@FlashLight Crazy Man if you were born in the 70s you would have probably loved all the Yellowish headlights on cars back then, me i love the 6500K white lightning.....
@yonwu9079
Before, I was also confused about which one to choose. But after watching almost all comparison videos between L35v1 and v2, I decided to buy the v1 for two reasons. Firstly, its 5000K tint, and secondly, a wider hotspot. L35v1 is very unique because no other flashlight has a tint and beam profile like it.

G day mate. Just woke up....5 30 am here. Great video. Love me some acebeam. I like v2. But both are great don't think you can be disappointed either way.

Welche coole Taschenlampe (Titan) , die ganz am Anfang gezeigt wird, ist es?
@nuclearphish8051
Ok after looking at the video a bit more closely, I am now thoroughly confused as to how many versions of the L35 actually exist. I have both (???) versions of the v1, XHP70.2 and LatticePower, but neither of them look quite like the v1 you are holding in the video. Maybe it's just the camera playing tricks on the perspective, but the "hole" in the middle of the TIR in your v1 looks narrower than the one on mine. Could you measure it by any chance? The middle part in my v1 is approximately 1,7cm wide and also looks slightly shallower than the one on yours. The LatticePower version is quite different as it's narrower (about 1,3cm diameter), deeper and actually looks a lot like the optics on your v1. Except the lens in the middle looks like honeycomb, not evenly frosted like in both of our v1s. Your v2 on the other hand seems to have very similar optics to the L19 v2 SFT40, except of course the lens is overall not as wide. (Fun trivia: The tail cap of L19 also works perfectly with the L35, so that's another way to get a tailstanding L35 v1 if you have both L19 and L35) I've also heard rumors that there might be a re-released v1 with XHP70.2 BUT also with narrower optics running around (presumably it's in od green, but then the v2 is quite clearly also offered in green...), but I haven't been able to confirm this. Your v1 really does look like it could be something like this, though. All of this is quite frustrating as I'd really like to get another wider beam v1 XHP70.2, but it's often quite hard to tell in many listings which version they are actually selling.
@nuclearphish8051
I agree with pretty much everything you said about v1 vs. v2. I really wish Acebeam offered the v2 with a 5000k led and wider optics. :/
@kerenwang437
I've got an L35 2.0 recently, totally agree with what you think of the V1 and V2.
@aussiepagan2208
Excellent review mate. Fantastic. Ive gone the V2 as i require the target pinpoint throw and found the spread acceptable . My EDC is the Imalent LD70.
@mehlcarelse4319
I think a comparison between the Acebeam L35 v2 and the Acebeam P17 and the Sofirn C8L would be an excellent comparative test.
@ptpaintballer43
Can these lights take an unprotected flat top? I can’t find out if the light has low voltage protection.
@michaelbaker5070
Do these two lights work as police duty flashlights
