I NEED a P18! With FOUR SFT-40 diodes, that thing is just simply badass! Can’t think of many other lights on the market, especially that are this affordable…that have multiple SFT-40’s, especially in a fairly compact light. Great beamshots video.
I don't like the P18's beam pattern, and I bought a P16 but don't really enjoy it as much as other acebeam lights. But I can still see the value in this video, especially for others. So thanks for all the effort, I'm sure it was worth it!
Thank you for showing how close the spill is to your feet. As someone who walks my dogs at night, this matters a lot for me. Tho i dont think i can afford acebeam products lol.
I am amazed that the narrow hotspot throwers make the trees look farther away. This is why I like flooders. It's as if the trees are magnified. Review the opening sequence to see if you agree!
interesting point of view, I've never looked at it that way. Gonna pay attention to that next time I'll be in the forest and check if I see the same - I might say - optical effect/illusion.
Fantastic video. Exactly what I was looking for. I already bought the P16 and love it. I’ll definitely have to get the L19 and P18 too. They’re both so cool
to me TIR ( optic ) clearly looks superior but the extra throw of L19 is dubious because while it has the intensity the atmosphere will only let you throw so far before everything looks like fog no matter how bright your beam is ... maybe if you have one person point the flashlight and another film from say 50 feet to the side it would look better but then you have to always carry your buddy with you to hold the flashlight LOL
I'm leaving myself L19, because it has very wide spill, nice and intensive spot, while it doesn't comsume that much power from battery. I really recommend this on if size doesn't matter that much.
P18 lose it's purpose IMHO Too big for tactical...for this size, it will compete with Astrolux FT02s, for example...half price, double lumens, almost same throw
@@matheusmf4135 not a very good comparison. First of all, P18 is a tactical light. It has dual tail switches with instant strobe, the FT02S only has a side switch. FT02S also comes with Anduril, completely useless as a tactical light and annoying to anyone who just wants a simple interface. FT02S also uses a FET PWM driver which means very low efficiency and no stabilization in higher modes, while Acebeam is known to use high efficiency drivers with good stabilization. That causes FT02S to heat up very fast in turbo mode and it will throttles hard and fast, P18 will maintain better throw for longer. P18's charging port is also better protected against water ingress and it tldr: No, FT02S is a toy, P18 is a tool.
