time of year has a lot to do with it. during the summer, in the sun and warm air, the bushings heat up and become a softer durometer. as opposed to winter time, it becomes quite a bit harder durometer. as the rubber strands (long chains of molecules that make up rubber) get colder, the atoms that vibrate less, allow the molecular chains to have more contact and friction with each other, like compressing a yarn ball, making the whole bushing a harder durometer and the board feel more stiff. this is just speculation, it could be something else.

I bought the Z1 street 120a/ 1036 wh last night before Acedeck goes on newyears holidays for a month..It can be converted to a 2in1 board..
@TTLBALLER
@TTLBALLER 8 месяцев назад
That's the board to get! 1036 is plenty and in think the larger batteries just add weight. That thing should fly. Be sure to loctite those bushings in. I'm thinking getting softer bushings for mine in the rear right away also

@@TTLBALLER ive already bought bushings for it but igot to see the new Z3 with its wheels on and thought of buying it but the bushings can only be supplied by Acedeck so if you dont like them theres nothing else that will fit...

I believe the urathene is affected by temperature ..You look good in the red jacket & helmet against the white snow...👍

Proprietary crap shouldn't go on these boards. That's pretty lame

Thanks 👍, I've loosened up the Velar bushings a lot and it's been perfect. Suppose it's time to do the same on the Z1

I can't figure out how to change the bushing on my new NYX Z3, my front white bushing has an angled side and the other side is almost flat, it might not matter but I was gonna change it out with the spare that was sent, I've removed the cap screws, I'm guessing I have to drive out the pivot pin?
@TTLBALLER
@TTLBALLER 6 месяцев назад
They are left and right specific I think. Have you tried both pairs? It's easier with the pin all the way out. The pivot pin should just be a 4 mm Allen unless they changed it...

@@TTLBALLER The bushings on this one are attached in the middle, it looks like yours are two pieces per truck, I removed both of the screws (front and back), the pin must be really tight, I banged on it pretty hard and the pin is not moving, I've emailed Acedeck, if they supply bushings, they really should provide instructions on how to change them.
@TTLBALLER
@TTLBALLER 6 месяцев назад
@retrothruster2539 I don't believe they sell bushings. Better to go with Riptide bushings though even if they sell them. The quality is much better anyways. Those pins must be locktited pretty good as the NYX would lose the pins easily so they must've put a more permanent level on them. Try a heat gun to get them warm and loosen the loctite perhaps.
@retrothruster2539
@retrothruster2539 6 месяцев назад
@@TTLBALLER Yeah, I was just mainly wondering how to do it, you remove the cap screws on each side then loosen two screws on the bottom of the truck which allows the pin to slide out, they sent me a video. Yeah, my adjustment screws were pretty loose, there was some loctite on them, we'll need to keep that applied to prevent falling out, had they machined the truck slightly different, they could have used a jam nut to keep it in place, maybe we'll see that in future designs.
@TTLBALLER
@TTLBALLER 6 месяцев назад
@retrothruster2539 that sounds like a new design I haven't seen. A bit more complicated... I'm surprised they don't send any instructions whatsoever with these boards!

between Velar n NYX X1, it seems Velar is more a nimble one on both streets n trails.

I like the deck more on the Velar. The W concave on it lets you know exactly where your feet are on the deck. The Z1 it can be harder to tell. Which adds more confidence, when I was riding the Z1 it felt like my front foot's heel was constantly off the board. Though I could've just been tired during that ride, and it was cold so my proprioception could've been off perhaps. Though I couldn't turn the thing for the life of me.

I told myself I was an buying NYXy, Black Friday 2024, saving up for it. The Velar was the ONLY other board that has the potential as a very close second. The Renegade is catching my eye too now though. Especially that the remotes don't shatter after you click purchase now. Sadly my love for the NYXy is pure vanity. It's the best looking board ever made. As time goes on though, at that price range, the options are ever increasing.

Yea, I'm slowly learning this. Excited to make these boards more of my own over time. After taking apart the gear drive system my confidence of taking things apart is higher now.

Man! So true about esk8 is a journey! Best to enjoy it as "healthily" as possible lol. Do you have protection gear on? Knee + elbow pads?
@TTLBALLER
@TTLBALLER 7 месяцев назад
I have butt/hip, knee and elbow pads on. They are snowboard pads that don't limit movement and go easily under clothes.
