For $399 Andrew, this is the perfect laptop for a student! The 720p webcam, while not the best is passable even though the video quality is somewhat washed out. The internal mic quality is just okay. However, once again, the laptop is $399 and not $1399. It certainly doesn't blow me away which is why it's a Budget laptop. I'm very curious what AMD will bring to the table in 2023 with the Ryzen 9 7000 series. Impeccable review as usual my friend!! 👍😁
The mobile Ryzen chips have a different naming scheme from desktop. This one is actually zen 2, so an architecture from 2019. Search “ryzen naming circle” for a guide. 7320U in this= 7-model year 2022, 3- Ryzen 3 “tier”, 2- architecture Zen 2, 0-lower model w/in segment, U- 15-28 watts. Hope this helps since although it may seem anti-consumer and intentionally misleading once you know the mobile naming scheme it’s fairly clear.
The Acer Aspire that had the old Ryzen 3 3200 was for a time the best selling laptop on Amazon. This seems like a successor to that for all the people that want a solid budget windows Laptop.
A strong offering for the budget mindful folks. Yes I'd pay extra for an IR camera and keyboard baclight but still a good option for me as an emergency backup Windows machine.
Thank you for the review. The reason I watched is that I was given this exact laptop as a gift, and have had it for about 7 months, but I have been disappointed for several reasons. The first thing you notice when you start using the laptop to watch anything is the volume is so low, you have to have it at least in the 70s or 80s just to listen while sitting at the dining room table. I went through settings that were suggested online, but there was no improvement. This is the same when using earbuds, no difference in the volume at all. Another thing I ran into early on was with the power settings when closing and re-opening the lid of the laptop. I have never been able to get the laptop to stay with any particular settings as far as having it shut down or go into sleep / standby mode. I have put the laptop to sleep from the menu settings, only to have the internet disconnected and everything I had open was now closed when I re-opened the lid. Then I tried just closing the lid without putting the laptop to sleep, but had the same results, everything disconnected and the wi-fi off when I re-opened the lid. This is just a basic watch some shows, read email, watch RU-vid, take webinars type of computer for me at home. Unfortunately, this doesn't even work satisfactorily enough for these simple functions. I will not be looking at Acer for my next laptop for these reasons, as well as I have never had anyone from Acer answer any of my questions about the operational problems I've had with the laptop. No support, no future purchases, pretty simple decision.
i can helo you with the low volume :P, open in the search, realtek audio etc, and choose enhancement audio and movie style, now 30% is a good volume :P and you got a little bit of bass.
A good entry level laptop for users who use it to browse the internet or use basic level applications. A good starter level unit for young users just starting to use computers. Talk about going from one extreme to another after seeing the livestream with the Dell desktop you recently reviewed to this. It just goes to show, you review all types of pc's which is a great thing as your audience gets to see all types of pc's so they can make intelligent decisions when purchasing a pc to fit their needs. Great review.
Even on a bright sunny day with the sun glaring into the room, I just close my blinds with my Aspire laptop with brightness at max. I’m also in a market for a Ryzen 3 7320U lappy to replace my old Surface RT 2 which I’ve now got rid off so keeping my eye out for good deal on one.
Fun Fact: Ryzen 3 - 7320U have same specs as Ryzen 5 - 7520U, they both have 4C -8T (but Ryzen 5 have 6% more freqnucy) And they both built into ZEN 2 (same as Ryzen 5500U for example) But the good thing is.. both Ryzen 7520U / 7320U have (6nm) chip, hich is more effeciant than old 5500U (7nm) An i3 - 1215U for example, have more cores, but it's not efficient like Ryzen 7520U/7320U (15% efficiency) 10m vs 6nm Lol, which means 1-2 hours longer battery
What a great voice for reviews man. I would love to watch a review of an Xperia smartphone from you hahaha Great as always. Greetings from the champion Argentina 😎🇦🇷.
I bought one in Feb 2024 for $399 on sale. I like the keyboard and touchpad. I use it while traveling so I like that it’s lightweight. The only negative it that the graphics aren’t all that good. Mine is brand new and the colors aren’t nearly as rich and vibrant as the ones shown in this review. But overall, for the price, I’m happy with it.
Neat review, however for every negative, or not so great thing, u mention the price. Yea we get that the price is low but we still want to know if its a good machine, and how does it compare to other modern laptops.
