Acer Aspire Notebook Repair 5738 G 5740G 5338 Replace Cpu Mainboard 

Thank You very much for this Video. I Watched it step by step and dissambled the 5738 parallel, then I opened the fake ventilation slots on the bottom and reassembled it. took about one hour all together and now the processor is about 30°C cooler. Thanks again for the vid!!!

thanks for the tip. I ended up blowing air in high pressure into the ventilation slots and all sorts of crap came out, and that did the trick.

Thank you, i cleaned my overheating pc using this video. There was a thick layer of dust blocking the ventilation slots. And i found out that the piece of plastic that was supposed to cool down the cpu was totally melted.

I'm not normally very good at these type of jobs but followed these instructions and hey success thanks.

i have an acer 5740G and it was getting hot. then a few days ago its not powering up anymore. should cleaning the fan be enough to fix it?

nice vid... i have a question... have a question...i have the 5738zg model and in idle it sitts at 48-50 degrees and on prime 95 it gets at 87 max after about 40 min and stays there. Should i clean it up or it is not necessary? I am affraid not to destroy something...

helllo.I have the same laptop model and im interested in the idea of upgrading the cpu.Could you tell me what model did you have at first and with what model you upgraded it?Also how are you hanging with the temperature? Is the ventilation underneath the cpu and the fan closed as is mine?Have you considered opening holes to the chasis?

Can I disassemble the keyboard without removing the screws?

Hello, TaMa_Ghazi , I changed the keyboard of my laptop "hp Acer Aspire 5740G" it announces me (Boot MCR absent and announces me (Alt + Ctrl + suppr) I perform this operation and when I press the keys Alt + Ctrl + suppr) no "sound" is announced either with mains or with battery _ Note: The battery is damaged but it still holds the charge 100% !!!

hi! could you tell me which is the Bluetooth device please? I reinstalled windows on a new hard drive on my 5740g but when I try to install the Bluetooth driver it says that the Bluetooth device is not detected "no device". Also, at 0:40 you show the "W-lan". I thought it meant wireless lan but my 5740g doesn't have anything in that hole.

Is there a way to clean the fan without having to take the whole thing apart?

buy gas on box and blow clean it. Some dont recommend it, but I do it and it works pretty well. Atleast its better than overheated slow laptop

Check your Acer 5738 chipset with CPU-Z first. Also check your laptop can support Quad Core ,1066Mhz Fsb and 44W TDP T6600 Sockel P and Q9100 sockel P. Socket fits (PGA478 Socket P) only my opinion , why not!

for LCd Screen is under the Screen.. For Led screen no Inverter..

I had lenovo . It had special cover with only 1 screw to uncover whole cpu fan .
