Something notable in the video is the nitro 5 matched the fps of the zephyrus g16 in dead space and used between 5-10 less watts in the same spot. And has lower temps. That will mean more over clocking of GPU would lead to more fps and more usable power.

$1000 is not cheap nowadays, laptops are more expensive than ever, I remember I could buy a brand new laptop gtx970 for a $1000 around 10 years ago the top one , now $1000 I will buy the shit one and the good ones are $5000. everyone should stop buying them , the price need to reduce for 70%. The nvidia control panel says 140W, but obviously never saw close to that level of wattage in real world testing. Weird the driver would claim that high and then never deliver close to that level of wattage pull.

Thanks a lot for this timely update/review. In India, Acer has recenly launched Predator Helios 16 and Predator Helios 16 NEO. I have purchased the NEO Edition, with I7-13700HX + RTX4050. Having gone ahead with this Predator NEO launch, now I dont think Acer will be launching Nitro Series(with Intel Variants) here in India, though having launched Predator NEOs in the price range of Nitros is a great thing. I've taken this up for my Data Science Needs(presently using a 11th Gen i7U Series HP Envy) but I am not sure, whether RTX 4050 was the best decision or I should've put in more at taken atleast a 4060 one instead. I am still studying the differences. Though, the good part is that RAM is DDR4 and SSDs are Gen4, and the display will be 16:10 Aspect Ratio. This a positive departure from alsmot anything which was availabe with 12th Gen Intel Machines, here in India. Once I get it I will post my own short video on it. Thanks for your views brother. Watched your video, bought it. The only issue I had was that audio suddenly stopped working, had to reset my pc but it went back to normal. Really loud fans imo but they do their job really good, will update in some months or years

@@visionar7303 upgraded my RAM to 64gb and started to get random freezes, I dont know if the ram was installed badly or the system doesnt support 64gb. The laptop power cable disconnects randomly, the cable is intact, in good condition and connected well, it just stops charging randomly. Atm the only problems I have are the random freezes (will check if I have faulty RAMs) and charger disconnects.

@@jsteve_15 Freezes stopped happening, I guess it was an OS thing that got patched, i never had audio issues. My only problem ATM is the power cable that randomly disconects, happens less frequently but still happens. Some people complains about the pc getting too hot but it doesnt happen to me

Also compare the rtx 4070 mobile on the zephyrus g14 because that also is TDP LIMITED to 120 watts so it's necessary to know if there's any difference between the rtx 4060 and 4070 at 120 watts given the bandwidth limited 128 bit bus also add the Radeon 7700s to that

Have a Nitro 5 from five years ago. The thing fell off the roof of my car onto the side of the highway in the included laptop sleeve and survived (after display swap). Those things are tanks and definitely good bang for buck.

i have the 165hz version with i712650h, and rtx 4060 with 16gbs of ram, ddr5 4800mhz, 512 plus 1tb of storage for just $1200 here in the Philipppines. i could say that this laptop is one of the best there is for this budget! i just turned off turbo boost to take care of the temps and now i run games like valorant at 200-300 fps with my cpu temps at just 50-60C!

I just scored one of these off Amazon Vine making my effective cost like $200. I think the model I'm getting only comes with 8gigs ram in which case I'll be upgrading that to 16. Otherwise, this will be a wonderful laptop. I do most of my gaming on a desktop so probably won't put much of a load on this in that area.

Legion is much better, build, screen, speakers. Lenovo build some of the best computers ever. No I'm not exaggerating. Acer are cheap, use to be better years ago, now they fail and just won't turn on, or the screens burn out fast. Trust me I've owned a few of their laptops.

Dude keeps opening up apps while running Cinebench, doing that makes the results inaccurate, ESPECIALLY task manager. You need to have everything closed and don't mess with anything, the Task manager along uses upwards of 15% CPU

Best deal I've seen is the Lenovo LOQ that was $849 and is now $699, I would definitely get it over this. With an I-5 13400F, 3050 6GB GPU (slightly less than this), 16gb DDR5 memory, 512 GB of storage. Why? Because it's rated as the best gaming laptop you can buy, for aesthetics, great cooling, MUCH MORE QUIET than this thing, and it's a Lenovo. So the reliability will be a LOT better. Though I don't even game on laptops, never will. For productivity, video, audio editing is what I do. Acer just have far to many problems, I'm surprised you didn't do a review on the Lenovo. It's awesome. But I think you'll only get it at the price at Wally World. I use to love Acer, but I tried this one and didn't find it that impressive, and the speakers crackle at high volumes too. Awful battery life as well.

why would you want a sata ssd or hdd, the price of nvme ssd is literally already down nicely and even cheaper than sata ssd, and the hdd slot on Nitro literally sacrificed the battery on the laptop

Nope, get a gaming desktop, no you can't carry it, but who cares. Upgradable in every way, runs cooler, and better performance. Also get a Steam Deck which is a portable PC and a lot more fun. With lower framerates and resolution. Still awesome.

I bought this and it performs really well but the cpu temp rises up to 90-95 °C after 20-30 minutes of gaming. Should I be concerned or is this normal? Even if it is, pls share some tips on lowering it down to at least 80 °C. I saw that in your laptop, the average is around 80

PS5 will be better in fresh games,4050 laptop better in games that released before 2021. If you want familiar experience, you need something like 3070ti, 4060 or 4070 and 1440p display.

PS5, much better (higher resolutions) ease of use, 4K graphics on many games, 30, 60 and a few 120fps games as well. Hell the Xbox One X does 4K (get one used for $200), something THIS will never do. Laptop tops are for productivity, not gaming. They fail after like a year or 3 at the most.

Bad thing about Acers is they have power button issues that make it so when you turn the laptop on, it shorts out. And you can't turn it back on. Not sure if it's because it's part of the keyboard buttons or what. And they have black screens of death issues, sound but no picture. They just aren't reliable. I used their desktops for 27 years, and they were good. But never the laptops. Gaming laptops only last about 3 years. No matter what the model, 5 if you're lucky.

you didn't work with this laptop at all, put it in your backpack, and after about a week you can clearly see deep scratches on the screen which appeared because of the keyboard keys while the laptop was closed, the motherboard is super weak for long hours use and very low in component quality. Guy don't let those RGBs fool you. The Acer gaming laptops stop working all of a sudden. And the Acer Warranty has nothing to offer you but to tell you that they are sorry that you lost your laptop to quality issues.

Yep, these are NOT reliable, especially the power button being built into the keyboard, they fail a lot. And black screens of death are very common. I'd just get a gaming desktop if you want a better bang for your buck. And then get a steam deck, which is a lot more fun. And is just a mini PC.

Выключаете турбодуст в питании , ставиое тихий режим производительность не теряется вообще . По температуре 65 70 градусов и очень тихо что хорошо .
