Acer One 10 2 in 1 power switch problem and solution

My acer iconia would not turn on,no life what so ever.I knew it had a full charge.I thought it was done.I tried putting the charger in and nothing,no charge light 'but after trying your suggestion its up and running and if i plug it in the light comes on :-))) Thank you so much !!!!

Thank you for sharing!!! I don't have the Acer 10 2in1 but just the standard Acer 10 Android tablet and doing this works! Tho My tablet was fully charged, the little green light told me so. I removed it from the charger to turn it on and it wouldn't turn on BUT before hand it was completely dead and shut off on it's own. So maybe that was the cause. This is the 2nd time it's happened, tho I can't remember the charge percentage the 1st time..even if it was dead or not. I just grabbed it and put it on the charger. So it could've been fully dead or at a low percentage, who knows lol. But Thanks again for sharing! It helped me out!

LOL I have that thing for 3+ years now - I always got annoyed with the power button but, I would just hold it down and press a bunch of times in order to get my Acer to start XD. The fact I am learning this now hahaha - well, I guess I don't have to abuse the power button anymore.

Hi, when you connect power adapter what is normal state - blue LED blinks one or twice? There is one resistor missing on main board, when i put (random value) it blinks once, when i remove it, twice.

I faced a problem which if I press the power button instead of shut down it won’t turn on if attached to key board you will have to take it off the key board turn it on then put it back in

I have a different problem, my acer has the battery chaarged, its in good health, but after I disconnect the power charger turns itself off. I tried battery health and it is fine. I tried opening it up, check all ribbon cables, checked with a multimeter, added the bios,, updaated drivers, did the 30 second button, everything. Im not giving up, is a great computer but the problem is that is doesnt work without the charger. The battery last for 9 hours! I also checked the power options, all the options with hibernate off, and sleep off. Nothing. It really has me thinking, Im writing this comment using my acer. Maybe we can all come up with a solution. I checked for a reset of hidden switch but it doesnt have one. Im going to try resetting it once more. I think it might be one of windows pesky updates, because the machine using to work fine.
