idk man my overclocked 4k 60hz 65 in TV went to 120hz and my overclocked 900p 60hz 19 in monitor went to 1440p 60hz you might not be getting a great deal with those overclocks

I suggest removing bots to reach the maximal framerates. With bots I get around 250-300fps on a 10600k and 1440x1080, but disabling them gives 500-700, averag 600. The bots are really unoptimized, so in match making frames are better than in game with bots.

Conclusion on this is on point, but i tend to see that on shortcircuit video you're often missing major product features. Like this is the absolute best monitor for competitive gaming currently because of the 390Hz coupled with Black Frame Insertion which makes a very good low latency, low blur and decent pricing monitor. Keep up the good work tho.

I feel like with a little bit of coaching he would be an absolutely amazing host! I learned more about CSGO than about the monitor and I'm honestly not upset about it lol. He's super chill and I love how he gives a lot of his perspectives and how he takes the review. What I think could be done to improve is more technical information and details. More information about the monitor and comparisons to other high refresh rate monitors etc. Otherwise a solid A for the video. Nicely done!

It would be very hard to find a gpu that could output those frames, even if you find one it would only be for counter strike, val etc. and for those games you dont want to run them at 4k anyways

To achieve 4k 240Hz even on HDMI 2.1 you would need to change color format to YUV 4:2:0 and it looks gross and sometimes it's better to use 1440p with full RGB format

Panel tech matters too, Zowie have better Backlight but it feels clunkier in game and the color on this monitor blows Zowie away. Blurbusters simply do not tell the full picture, in picture quality and input delays matters just as much as motion clarity

Hi Nicholas. Good to see new hosts. One tip I could get for you is to look more straight to camera (to viewers). This makes video more comfortable to watch. Now it has some bits that are a little bit awkward because host is not looking to camera but somewhere to background but still pretty close to camera. Thanks and good luck for next videos!

So used to 240Hz that when a game reset to 60hz locked I thought my computer was dying. It felt as if I was playing in slowmotion with crazy input lag. Can't go back once you go high refreshrate.

I think the way they should test these is have someone use it for a whole week or two with games that can actually go near 400 FPS and than play the same games at the studio with a 144hz monitor. It's usually easier to tell the difference when you go back to lower tier stuff compared to immediately after an upgrade. I noticed the same with headphones.

It's not blurry because your eyes can't see that fast. It's blurry because the pixels don't instantly turn off. It's not real blur because of eyes.. it's because of shity leds. Been that way since CRTs died. CRT is still better. Black frame insertion between frames helps a lot with this problem. But it's not perfect.

This is a 1080P monitor and I’m never going back to that. I use an Acer Predator 1440P Monitor at 270Hz. Rtx 3090 Gpu and can get close to 300 FPS in everything I play. I’m waiting for 4K Gaming monitors to come out with 240 to 360 Hz then I will move up. By then I’ll most likely have a 4090Ti also. Can’t wait.

Not to hate on the host, but he's really not person who should give a quick review of this product. My "rant points" would be: - 399-499$ is not "about right" for 360-390hz, that's in the 240Hz price range and an absolute steal compared to the like 700$ the Alienware and Asus one - being able to put this monitor into vertical mode and it having speakers or multiple ports is simply irrelevant for the likely customer of this type of product - the other "hype point" about this monitor, the backlight strobing mode, was completely ignored in the video - lots of misinformation about what one should expect to have to do to get 390fps Multiple people, including myself, have switched from their Asus 360hz panel to this monitor, not because it's 30hz more at the resell price of your old monitor, but because the backlight strobing makes the image much clearer. As other reviewers have shown, the image clarity of these first 360hz IPS panels is not beating 240hz with DyAc+, but 390hz with strobing should actually get you there. This mode was not once mentioned in the video, and the setting was apparently turned on from one cut to the other without informing the viewer. And as for the mentioned "misinformation". CS:GO and Valorant are CPU limited, especially in offline bot modes, turning down graphic settings and buying new GPUs is absolutely Not going to yield higher frame rates and are a complete waste of money. I'd expect the biggest Tech review channel on RU-vid to know that. Sorry about this sounding harsh and "elitist" to most ears. Thank you for raising awareness about this monitor though, Linus already didn't care enough about it when they mentioned it on the WAN show.

I totally agree about the speakers!!! I have a Monitor from MSI that unfortunately doesn't have speakers which sucks because sometimes I want to play my switch or PS5 on my Monitor instead of having to use my TV, especially if I'm already AT my desk. Kinda kills the vibe though when the game has no audio...

I got two of these but 165hz a few months ago, they work great! Other than there is no proper just turning the screen off like it messes up all your windows when you turn one off, but other than that they work great and each only cost me $200

5900x, 3080, 3800Mhz, CL14 Tuned all timings, 1T. Hydra for CPU OC, MSI Afterburner +90 +650 I'm getting higher 0.1, 1's, and avg on 1440p Ryzen definitely improves drastically from tuned ram, and the higher clocks Hydra, or CTR provide compared to bios, or Ryzen Master. Stoked to get my hands on this monitor. :)
