Hey man, Im looking for a "retro gaming" monitor aswell (1280x1024 19") and I endded up finding your video, I was wondering If after ~2 years of using it you could tell me a little bit of feedback ? What do you think of it ? does it holds up ? Thanks for the response. :)

I do not have to complain so far. The screen is doing its job and very well. For retrogaming, there is no need to spend crazy amount of money : an old pc or a raspberry pi/odroid is enough (check my retrogaming playlist : ru-vid.com/group/PL5KYvcqZOO5wMQ91YgrvC0q-acyOg1Zs8. The screen is still the first thing you see, so I wanted a nice new 5:4 LCD screen to get the "new/old school" look for my Bartop (not wanting to play completely purists) : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4Fmg8PI7yTY.html. In short, it's a good investment.

I like these size of monitors better, I still use an SXGA monitor because I like having more desk space ^^

Hi! I want to get a square monitor for retrogaming but I'm confused about the difference between 5:4 and 4:3....what is the difference between both ratio in retrogaming

For everyone who are now interesting about that: Both are good for retro gaming. But the best is a CRT with 1024*768 resolution. (which is 4:3) This is also ok for the smaller resolutions of the old games which are 640*480 and 800*600. (both 4:3)
