Yes you're can add graphic card gtx 1650 or gtx 1050 ti ..but low profile vga card model for sff desktop..not vga card standart model.:)

I would not recommend small form factor machines like this as gaming systems. The only time we have put graphics cards in are the super low-powered variants (GT710 etc) and then only for multi-screen use. Most small form factors like this have enough video outputs already so this is no longer necessary. The power supplies tend to be good quality but also difficult to get if they blow up, so don't overwork them.

@@guidancefromjah depends on how you use it. i use it for like 9-10 hours on online classes and gaming. but, the psu is only 180 watts and the cpu is an i3- 8100 . the minimum power of the psu must be at least 450 watts for the cpu to work properly. if I were you, just build a pc its much cheaper that way, plus you can have a mid range pc for the same price. Just dont buy this man it's not worth it.

This is a standard TFX PSU, so there are plenty of replacements? Correct me if I'm wrong on the form factor. You're right though, sounds like you knackered it by running too close to its limits for too long. Most/all PSUs will die if that happens. Max power consumption of an i3-8100 is only 88 watts (Google search), and 180 watts will easily cover that. No need for a 450 watt PSU. If it is TFX, plenty of 300 watt models available will slot into this case.

There is space for 2 drives in total and connectors on the board for anotherSATA, but you normally need to get a power splitter to power them.

Nearly all small form factor machines like these don't have enough to power video cards that require a power connector. You are stuck with power from the motherboard slot. This limits the card significantly and the card speed might not even be up to the speed of the on-chip graphics if you have a decent new processor. Check out www.videocardbenchmark.net/ Cooling for a bigger card would also likely be an issue and swapping the case over isn't really an option either. Small form factor machines are not designed to be upgraded in these ways.

Like many small form factor cases from major manufacturers its an OEM board. You should be able to get spares though as these are part of corporate refreshes so second hand board dealers usually have parts.

We have business customers still using these. Windows 10 has until october 25, so if the model you are looking at has that you are limited under current plans. These boxes run mint linux well but may be limited by Microsoft for windows 11 you need to check processor generation to use 11.

@@leejohann9469 That should upgrade to windows 11 pro. We have some with BIOS passwords and bitlocker so it should have a TPM if the same.

small form factor cases can be tricky due to the clips holding the front on or the hard drive/dvd mounts. We often spend a few minutes trying different things. Glad our vid helped.

A 2.5" goes on the left. The DVD is slim and does not have mounting points. We tend to swap the original main drive for SSDs in these machines. Bigger versions of these are now relatively cheap.

As its a SFF case you can't really get much of a graphics card in as there is not much power to run one. Some low end half height cards might work, but if you are looking to upgrade GPU its a bit limiting and you might be better on a full size case or a PC spec with a graphics card already in place. The board has 2 RAM slots and takes PC4 19200 but we have seen suppliers say 21300 works as well. As i mentioned in another answer you can buy x2660s with 8GB already in place. We've used generic kingston/corsair RAM for this.

@@veloriccajenson3962 You would need to use a low profile card which does not need secondary power. Something like a GT1030. I'd not really recommend it though as it doesn't add that much to performance.

These machines are not big enough for bigger GPUs. Small form factor is basically a design for office work.

@@theplayer4117 We've never done such upgrades. I'd not be confident in recommending this, the mother board is not designed for much current, it doesn't have big heatsinks etc.

Most small form factor machines cant take graphics cards, due to size and/or cooling. You should buy a bare bones PC with full height PCiE back plate slots. Many small manufacturers do these usually with CPU and RAM already in place.

will it be able to fit a gpu if changed the pc case. or do i have to change the motherboard too? i really like the cpu that i have here.

@@kolmeluke12 There's probably not enough power. Small form factor machines have custom PSU's (not 24pin) so unlikely you can put a decent GPU in it even if you recase.

@@kolmeluke12 If its gaming you are after its really a new machine as motherboard, PSU and case change. Sell the acer as is and buy a gaming pc (although thats easier said then done).

We've been using this PC for some time now. It is tough to upgrade RAM you need to take it to bits (hopefully the vid helps). There are versions Acer makes with 8GB and a 120GB SSD so if you don't need much storage they are better to get than a 4GB version and buying a RAM upgrade.

@@JT-ko2ib Yep 2 x 16GB DDR4 modules can fit. Paired modules will be slightly faster as it can use dual channel ram access mode. Match the speed and timing of the original module if you are reusing it or buy an upgrade kit from a matched memory supplier.

@@PhilErringtonSK7 Thanks for clarifying. I agree with the dual channel, not so much about mixing modules. An upgrade kit is the best option though, for a completely matched system.
