hey man whats the use of the purple hose pipe fitted to the fuel ?? Is it connected to the main fuel filling cap; its just fit or can be pull off ?>

It's a breather hose, and it is necessary to properly vent the tank. -DrewZilla

No, there is microscopic pores in this material that allow them to breath out fumes just a little. Because of this, any paint you put on them will bubble up and peel off very quickly.

About how many miles can i expect from a 2.9 gallon tank for a 2015 yamaha yz250f?? Thanks 👍

It really depends how you ride your bike and how many miles per gallon you get right now. It seems people tend to get about 50-55 miles per gallon, so a 2.9 gallon tank would theoretically give you about 150 miles of range or maybe a bit less in real life. -DrewZilla

Think they are made from Polyethylene (the stuff they make kayaks out of), not “polyurethane”.

Acerbis confirms that they are indeed made from polyurethane. Both polymers are versatile, and in this case, it's polyurethane. -DrewZilla

Why not mentioned about clap peacock' that leaks and dysertacji tank has Peacocks too high and there is about 2l of gas left everytime u have rundę out of petrol

I bought an Acerbis tank for my DRZ400s. The place where the petcock mounts does not have metal inserts, like some other aftermarket plastic tanks. I mounted my petcock and didn't even begin to tighten it before both self tapping screws were spinning with no grip. I was probably sent a returned tank that was already stripped. There's no way I can prove that I didn't over tighten the screws so I'm screwed. As far as I'm concerned, avoid this tank like the plague.

How many times did you say installation couldn’t be simpler? Clearly you haven’t installed this particular tank in your review as you would have probably mentioned that a torque wrench and lock tite are needed and since the instructions that come with the tank kit in addition to Acerbis website having no real instructions you are quite incorrect. Do yourself a favor and actually install this tank before you say it couldn’t be simpler over and over.

DeannaLobes I wonder if you’ve had a chance to install one of these? After installing mine I’d give it 2 out of 3 beards on the difficulty level and on the same level and time required as rebuilding the top end of a two-stroke.

The Petlocks Acerbis ships with their Fuel Tanks are JUNK. A simple search of the net would make you aware of the problem that Acerbis still chooses to to ignore. Despite being aware of the problem for several years now.
