Aces Teaches: How I Mix (The Adjusting Volumes Part) [FL Studio] 

Hey look, a serious tutorial again. Actually, this is not really a tutorial, but just showing how I work personally so be prepared for a very tedious process. I don't like getting too technical with stuff, just making whatever sounds good to me. If you get bored and wanna skip to the point, here's a timestamp that sums up the whole video. 13:27 If you want more of these, feel free to let me know and I will try to make another video similar to this because I know some of you want longer videos opposed to my shorter ones.

When I make something I like I listen until it sounds like shit then ruin it by fucking up the EQ and volume controls.

I use Ableton as opposed to FL Studio, and I can honestly say that I have learned so much from this channel even though I don't even have FL studio. Even your short, funny tutorials have helped me so much! Thank you for all that you have done, and keep up the good work no matter what! YOU ARE THE BEST

This was awesome! Are you thinking of doing a mastering tutorial at some point? Often times my tracks come out really quiet compared to other people's and I'm not sure where I'm going wrong with that so it would be great to know how you do it!

How I do my volume adjustment. Get yourself a sample of some pink noise. Load it into its own channel and set it to peak at 0dB, then solo each instrument one-by-one and adjust the volumes until you can barely hear them poking out from behind the pink noise. After you're all done you can take away the pink noise and everything should be at the proper volumes.

In this entire project, I like the drum loop, Pattern 2.

Don't worry about strugle bro xD i think we all do at some point lmao. What i have a hard time to figure is how to make my songs all the same volume. For some reason when i listen to different songs i made, i have to adjust the volume. some sound very loud and some just don't.

Why exactly do you have to use the mixer for mastering? Why can't you just use the volume knobs on the channels?

Hi. Like your channel. The reason you likely can't record sound while using your capture software is because Windows defaults to letting applications take exclusive control of the mic. You can untoggle that.
