do you actually think he would've ran it twice if Barry said yes? lol He probably would've tried to make some sort of sleezy deal or he was just needling him for saying no to running it twice in the first place (which Barry only runs it once, always).

As much as I like Gabe, I completely disagree with him here. There are 4 ligitimate hands that Barry can have (AA, KK, QQ, AKs). There is also a slight chance that Barry is making a move. Sammy's all in was a very standard play, especially considering that this a cash game. If anything, I think he acted the way he did to undersell his hand (getting Barry to believe that he has QQ). He wanted Barry to call with a QQ/AKs.
@ihatechaucer4413
@ihatechaucer4413 Год назад
I don’t think so. This was the last hand of the night. Plus in the second to last hand, which was also part of this broadcast, it was noted that all the players looked extremely tired and none of them were really willing to give any action. It’s the nature of that situation that makes it extremely difficult to believe that Barry would make a move here. Seems like he would just call with anything less than QQ, and with how much he raised really tilted his range to AA. It’s possible due to everyone else being tired and much more willing to fold Barry could get away with a bluff, but this is also Sammy Farha. On another episode he snap called a $500k all in with just a flush draw.

no thats not true Elmo, because Sam was acting so arrogant at the end, Sheikan (who IS a douche) said "What's with the arrogant attitude, you caught 2 outs, relax", and I don't blame him. Farha was acting kinda douchey there. But then he said "You even slow rolled the guy", which isn't quite true because Farha told Barry he had two kings...but we never really saw them, so Sheikan probably thought revealing them at the end was a slow roll. What Sheikan doesn't realize is Farha never flipped his cards up the whole season, he felt it was bad luck.

I would always run it twice here because of the nature of the situation. Last hand of the night, it’s just such a brutal spot. Money was getting in no matter who had the aces, so why run it once like I somehow earned this spot by playing well? It’s a total fluke of a hand let it go twice why not.
@kozysnacker

Barry's reason for always only running it once was that (back then) he had the bankroll and mental strength to withstand the higher variance, which he viewed as an edge against the competition.

Looking back at this hand, I really think Sammy should have found a fold. Specifically against Barry, you're really only up against all the four combinations of pocket aces, for combinations of pocket Queens, and the other two kings. And the only thing Barry is calling you all in with is aces or Kings. It's hard to lay them down, but I think he probably should have

I just don't understand Farha here.... why not just call and see a flop. Either call or fold if you have such a bad feeling the other guy has AAs. But shoving? Doesn't make sense. You save so much money by just calling instead of shoving only to realize that the opponent does in fact have AAs. He flopped at set, now all he's gotta do is just milk Barry to get it all in on the river.

Why flat 50k, nearly 1/3rd of his stack and fold any non K flop? Might as well save the 50 and fold pre. Also looks pretty horrific if you flat 50k and fold to ship on flop if Barry has the other 2 kings.

@@DevonshireH Why raise all in? My point is if you really have a bad feeling just save your money and fold. Or just make the call so that you don't risk losing all of it.

He thought Sammy was out of line by showing his relief after the King hit. He had nothing to do with the hand, and was a douchebag in the poker world.
