I run pocket KINGS into ACES at the Tulsa Hard Rock as we try and snap our losing streak and make it as a professional poker player. Poker Vlog today, Poker Vlogs recent, Poker Vlog Brad Owen, Poker Vloggers. Playing in a loose and splashy 1/2 game, can I find the win against these crazy players?? This is the 70th episode of my poker vlog.
My Poker Vlog is back and while I'm not playing the stakes like Brad Owen poker vlog, Rampage poker vlog, or Andrew Neeme. I'm out here grinding to make a living. Some day I hope I have cinematics like Mariano but we still have a long ways to go before I can start my videos out saying "A Short Film by Kenny G"
This Poker Vlog 2021 follows my story. Andrew Neeme’s vlog was my original inspiration and now watching the insane grind Rampage is on keeps me inspired and gives me hope. I do all my recording on my phone so if anyone has great phone or camera recommendations I'm super open to hear them.
This is the newest episode of my Poker Vlog.

Welcome to Tulsa. It does get frustrating there at times. The 1/3 and 2/5 rock play a bit better but you still get some of the same.

When I lose to a short stack who has AA, I usually say that I'm glad they didn't have much more, they would have gotten it all. It usually tilts them and moments later they lose everything anyway.

Basic poker theory dictates that larger opening sizes should condense ranges. Tightening your range construction, especially out of position, in splashy games will print EV.

Yeah, I think I let myself get too frustrated and I started pushing the action. Going to improve on that going forward

I like the vlogs. I stopped playing 1/2 because of all the donkeys. Try 2/5, switching tables, changing your bet sizing, folding more often, and knowing when to cut your losses and leave.The last one applies to winning as well. If you're at the casino an hour and up $500 - $1,000, don't be afraid to leave with booking a win. Good luck!

Thanks for watching!! I was actually planning to play higher in this session but the game I was on was all they had, at least partially because they had a tournament going on.

When it's literally "the only game in town". Painful game. Watch SoRude's episode 119 at pensacola (FL). Only other game that compares. It is just that bad juju kind of game where the players are (scared $ tight)miserable, the deck is stale (can't get paid), and ya just feel like sitting at the Greyhound bus terminal watching paint dry is the only thing that could be more fun! (And cost effective). Glad to see ya still grinding and keep at it! Always enjoy the content! Sorry ya pulled up to a dud. Gotta do a Friday night.(payday?) 9p.m. with promo's and drinks to change this action at the Oklahoma Hard Rock. OKLAHOMA is not OK😂😅

I like the videos! What material are you using to study? I suppose at this table I would tighten my range and open to a bigger size. ORRR, open small and start check rasing a lot more or using much bigger sizes on the flop (100-150% pot)

Hi Kenny! You have a great vlog going here, and I wish you much success. I really like these soft tables, like the one you've featured here. I find it helps to say 'nice hand' and to be as friendly as possible, whenever i lose a pot. What do you think?

Hey man, nice vlog. I am looking at starting one myself. I am from Tulsa so play at Hard Rock all the time. First, yes, that is how the $1-2 game always plays. You can raise to $15 every time and get 4 callers all day every day. But also want to ask how you were able to film. I had asked them about that maybe 6 months ago and was told we couldn't film there. Has that changed or did you just film and they never said anything?

I just never said anything. I was a little surprised they never asked but I just assumed no harm no foul

Poker rooms and casinos. Expect in $1-$2,$1-$3, $2-$5, games multiple callers to see the flop. Some degree of inelastic play pre flop. I frequently open 7xbb to 10xbb. Use suited connectors as my bluffs. Because you get so many callers, need some strong hands in calling range. Will call in early position with AK off, and either QQ, KK, or AA some portion of the time. If I can't get action early, and a bluff worked, I'll show the bluff. Against multiple players, adjust your game to exploit. Also be willing when in position to bluff big on the river.

For what it worth I think in 1 3 games it's so cheap you can call with any 2 cards. 2 you want people to shove with garbage hands. Pocket 8s be a good example. Play good solid poker you will not go wrong long term. Tighten up your range don't think to much about other people's range and if they shive on the river they have it.

Kenny, dude…. With all due respect the hand that I think you played the worst in that session was when you had A3 of hearts. Checking the flop with that board was absolutely the right move. However, then the turn came a 10 of hearts giving you a flush draw, betting also was the right move. But think about your bet. You were representing a 10. If the turn had made someone a straight or two pair, they would have either bet out since nobody bet the flop or, check raised the turn card. But nobody did that. When the river comes another 10 and everyone checks to you AGAIN, you absolutely needed to bet big and continue to represent the 10. That’s the only way you can win the pot and you almost certainly would have. In low stakes games,the guy with the 8 called not necessarily because he thought he had the best hand but because he was hoping to improve. He had third pair. He was unlikely to call the river had you bet large enough. The river 10 was the perfect card to run a 2 street bluff. Sure, once and a while you’ll get caught when someone else has a 10 but that won’t happen often enough to make that bluff unprofitable. You probably would not have needed to bet all that big anyway $125-$145 is probably all it would take. You can’t win in poker, unless you are willing to lose.
@kennygpokerstrategy4917
@kennygpokerstrategy4917 7 месяцев назад
Yeah, in hindsight I for sure missed a good bluff spot. I think I've just been hearing too many other vloggers who play for way higher stakes than me talk about not bluffing into multiple opponents but I don't think this applies to the games I'm in. Thanks for watching, we're going to play better in the next one.
@kmdskins
@kmdskins 7 месяцев назад
@@kennygpokerstrategy4917 low stakes players don’t bluff enough and when they raise a bet of yours, they almost always have it most of the time (because they don’t bluff enough). There are certainly players that do but, you can usually identify them while you’re at the table. It’s pretty easy to bluff here and there on a table like the one in this vlog. You still need to be selective (especially with a river bluff)but, players at those stakes are willing to fold a lot to aggression with anything less than their strongest hands. You should also bluff more often on the turn when you still have outs to win the pot when your turn bluff gets called. If you miss the river, you can reassess whether it’s still a good bluff candidate or not. Check raise bluffs are the strongest bluffs in low stakes. They are SO often afraid that you MUST have them beat. Unless they have a strong hand already and STILL have ways to improve on future streets they often give up. Low stakes players are more willing to fold than higher stake players.

You need bigger sizing. This seems to be your biggest issue is you give everyone insane odds all the time.

Welcome to low stakes live at the local Native American casino. I had to take a month off because I've been getting frustrated just like you and some of the regulars are miserable and not fun to be around. The games can be extremely profitable tho since there are such bad players but on some days you will lose $ and you have to find a way to accept that. Have you ever had or considered getting a poker coach? Some of those hands were butchered which I think you know. When u turned the nut flush draw on that A3h hand and semi bluffed the turn I was thinking you should probably continue bluffing the T river even tho it was three ways. In these games you have to find some multiway bluffs even tho it isn't fun trying to bluff more than one person.
