Achari Chicken | Easy Weeknight Chicken Curry | No toasting of spices or grinding
This is my no frill Achari Chicken Recipe that needs no toasting of spices or grinding perfect for weeknight dinner.
Serves: 8
Ingredients:
Whole bone-in Chicken - 4 lbs/ 2 kg
Whole Spices - 1 tspn each of mustard, cumin and fennel seeds, 3/4th tspn kalonji or nigella Seeds and 1/2 tspn fenugreek seeds (Panch Phoran)
Onion - 2 cups
Ginger, Garlic, Green Chilies - 2 tspns each
Tomato - 1 cup
Coriander Seed Powder - 1 tspn
Red Chili Powder - 2 tspns or to taste
Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder - 2 heaping tspns
Yogurt - 1/2 cup
Water - 1/2 cup
Ginger Juliennes and Chillies for garnish
Salt - to taste
Sugar - 1 tspn
Oil - As needed
Mango Pickle - 1 tspn
