i think its because she used to be just be a normal girl, back on izumo, like how hi3 mei was before everything went down. she never wanted to become the emanator of nihility, all of it was forced on her. so i see it as her actual personality coming through

@dreemurrinthenight mate, the choice was literally "keep going" and "I'm done." I can't imagine anyone that's into the lore to just choose the "stop yaping" answer.

This is mainly fanservice for hi3 players, after all - it's a hidden scene you can only get if you keep saying you do remember her, which anyone that has played so far in hi3 would pick. Considering I saw quite a few people who havent played hi3 be confused about the other Mei fanservice, this choice makes sense to me

@@ry0usama511 And, thanks to Acheron's outfit reminding me of APHO Mei - I had "Oathes" from honkai Impact 3rd playing in my mind all the way through the Aventurine boss fight

I agree. She was written very well for sure but the voice acting really brings it to a new level. You can hear both the pain of experiences lived, yet also hope that is still there in every life. I'm amazing at how well she pulled it off, especially since I think poorly done it could easily come off as pretentious.

it is a fanservice for HI3 players, not exactly a key moment for what happens in the next 1 or 2 patches but more of whether HI3 players able to stumble upon it. im glad i managed to without a guide

Because it's supposed to be an easter egg. You either are curious and run into it, or have an inkling feeling that it was important because of the vague familiarity, or both. Whatever the case, it's there more as a little fan service for the ones who know

At the start, the red text felt somewhat ominous. Now, with context, I do think it's meant to represent the idea of a "memory." It's a little bit of color that breaks through the Nihility, something so deep-set in who you are that it overrides nothingness itself. I think that, just like how Mei subconsciously implanted her memories of an old friend onto the Trailblazer, the Trailblazer did the same to Mei. There is someone in the Trailblazer's past, obscured beyond their amnesia, that she reminds them of. Metatextually, it's also a nod to the player about all the lookalikes, but I don't think it's *that* simple if it unlocks such an important scene. You're given three separate chances to abandon that line of thinking, so there's clearly something else here. In short, I think this is both a message to the players *and* a moment of very important foreshadowing for the Trailblazer. That's my interpretation, at least.

Now that I thought about it some more every time a red text appeared it's always Acheron and the trailblazer talking about if they met before, now what if that red text isn't Acheron doing the red text thingy, instead TB perceive it like that and hyper focusing on it as they are remembering something or feeling De javu as they say, and to get to this finally scene you need to keep insisting you met before then boom you get a glimpse of that vision between The past Raiden B. Mei and TB ? As if the conversation happened before At least that's what I get from that scene because that Raiden B. Mei form never seen in game right ?

Acheron told Tiernan that she basically can't even see a lot of things anymore besides "a fleeting Red" The Red text represents memory that transcends Life itself. Things Acheron will always perceive and hang onto. "You still have some color left"

did you pull for her? as of this version she sends daily messages and her sweet side really shows through. it really reminded me of mei and made me sob, i wish she didn’t have to be alone..

I don't think this is the last time we will meet her , I am sure she will be an important character for the future .

I can't agree with that. Her 2.0 presence she was just the quiet emo kid who didn't say anything substantial. And she had too much screen time with the Penacony Galaxy Ranger that i cannot imagine many people cared for that payoff and how long for how long it was slow dripped. Acheron is at her best when she wasn't doing that but the former was a substantial amount of her screentime.

​@@Ser-- thats why 2.2 was the best part or Penacony, while she wasnt the main focus she was really important to the plot and the main factor to resolving the conflict, thats where she is best, as a support role

I've done everything but High-end content, which honestly is just annoying and requires a full character upgrade, but when the game has resource locking like Trailblaze Power regenerating in real time, it's frustrating to wait a whole day to slightly upgrade one character. Yes, HSR will get a lot of cool characters in the future (Fox Man for Acheron, but honestly I don't care anymore) and reruns of characters I missed because I'm a newbie (Kafka, Black Swan). But after this patch, I don't see why I should waste my time on Gacha game when I can play other games. Like I said, Acheron was honestly the only main reason that kept me in the game. Since I won't see her for a year or two - I don't need HSR in my life.

if we're being real, the only reason acheron wears her current outfit is to appeal to fans, because no way in hell would she choose to wear that. it's impractical, revealing, and just doesn't suit her style at all. the kimono she wears in the flashback is much closer to her actual preference in clothes.

her eyes at first are reminiscent of a black hole, probably the effect of becoming nihilitys emanator. thats why she didnt have it in her past self
