@@KougaJ7 I think Pete always check off camera the rewards for hacking a tower, he knew he had that option so he used it (he even tell he would have move soldiers more carefully if not knowing about potential distraction reward)
The only other time I have seen Pete drop the f-bomb was in one of the last episodes of his XCOM: Enemy Within series when, similarly, he encountered 4 sectopods in one turn
Yes, Chosen weapons are affected by Inside Knowledge, as are the Legacy Pack weapons. You may not be able to alter their attachments; but they still count as attachments.
I love how easy you make games look. But i then quickly understand the level of work you put into it when i see how poorly i do. I truly wish i could afford to support you😢
Come on Pete, get the alien rulers in the party with the mission trigger. The chaos is more fun when you have to deal with both rulers and chosen in a mission.
PETE! IMPORTANT THING! Alien Hunters DLC, the weapons (axes, bolt caster and the pistol), when you unlock the upgrades with the DLC mission, to put all the versions on the wall in the armory of the Avenger for completion, you MUST upgrade them to each tier separately and IN ORDER OF POWER. Example: Bolt caster is put on the wall the moment you get it, but if you'd upgrade it to plasma caster, the magnetic one will be permanently missing, no going back. You probably know that already, but the completionist in me was furious when I did just that on my Ironman playthrough ;_; Bonus info: INSIDE KNOWLEDGE resistance order DOES affect Chosen guns. Turns them from Magnum Opus of firearms to "Destroyers of Worlds".
The duality of watching someone playing a "let's play", you want them to do well but you also want things to go tits up because it makes it interesting. "Well f*ck"
One other thing to note about fan fire is that it works with QuickDraw. So you can fan fire as your first action, then you can then use the darklance since it only takes 1 action. Plus if you’re on high ground and have death from above you effectively already have serial
Man watching all these 8na row makes me wana do my own playthrough... but i know ill fall fast my rng sucks xD Ontop of xcom shenanigans will hurt even more xD Cant wait to see how the next episode goes
Well played Commander, well played! Yes Inside Knowledge includes ALL weapon attachments! For a mission to neutralize a VIP consider using a Psy Operative with Domination. This will eliminate the need to carry the unconscious VIP and there will be no reinforcements. Btw will you go after Vahlens "pets" soon? Bradford would like to see some fieldtime after Shen had hers! If you start going after the Warlock, you can unlock more room for resistance orders! ☝
Great episode as always. Psionics have always annoyed me in XCOM, and especially in XCOM 2, if you don't absolute rush them they're never relevant and only gets taken on a few missions (where they absolutely dominate) to test them out, with them being a seperate class in XCOM 2 I would rather have seen them be soldiers with normal progression that you unlock immediately or after some extremely early research (without the psi chamber, that can be converted into something else).
Hey Pete. Awesome video as always. Loved the little "despair" moment you had. Shoutout to cussing in X-Com again because of a Sectopod. I would actually also like to know when you are planning on taking on the alien hunters DLC?
12:20 rare moment of Pete cussing 😂 You also cussed like that back in xcom:ew I remember when, similar to this, a mission was just filled with sectopods and 2 of them entered line of sight at once. I distinctly remember "OK xcom, f**k you too."

At the 2 minute mark Shen makes a remark about the voice of the spark chosen to be comforting to her (20 years ago). Which is funny, because our (first) Spark has Julian's voice.
I'm wondering, could you use inspire on a team mate who has had an extra move granted by a bond mate to grant a total of 4 actions to a single soldier?
@@AGrumpyPanda You are right, I meant the "Alien Hunters" mission in the Viper cave where you chase down Dr. Vhalen's Experiments. (Shen's Last Gift is just an easily remembered DLC name, sorry)
