Achilles LSI Series with Casey from Inflatable Boat Specialists

I've had an Achilles LSI-260E for over 15 years in the PNW and it's been super reliable. We've started to have some extremely slow leaks but it turned out to be the valve O-rings that were worn out. So very inexpensive to fix. :D For our family or 4, the 260 is a little tight going to shore now that the kids are grown up. At only 66 lbs, it's super easy to lift with 2 adults or even a kid. This is really appreciated when you have 8 or more feet of tide and you need to get a raft up and down a beech and not worry about logs, or adding wheels to the transom. The only upgrade we've done that I would recommend is to ditch the original foot pump and use a dual chamber hand pump. We just use one that came with our inflatable kayaks and we can inflate the boat much faster, including the floor. We just super-glued the rubber bit from the floor pump onto our kayak pump and we have "one pump to inflate them all". ;)

My father had an Achilles whitewater raft for 20 years. Practically indestructible! A friend has an Achilles whitewater raft that he bought in the 1980s. Still going strong! The cheaper boats just don't measure up.

I have compared with AB Inflatables and I find Achilles superior overall. I will go with LSI-290E.
