Same here buddy! Can't believe it took me so long into life to discover this artist...to be fair, I'm Puerto-Rican/Russian so its not like I particularly had much exposure to the language/Middle Eastern culture. Thanks to a particularly heavy concentration of Egyptian people where I lived for a year or to allowed me to experience their culture and language frequently. What a blessing!
Exactly same lyrics of Samira Tawfik is also sampled in the David Byrne Brian Eno Album "My life in the bush of ghosts" ,came out about 1980-1985 . I think ACID ARAB also got it from this Album.
