This songs composition was incredible. The song structure is amazing and the breakdown is probably my favorite of any song ever. Such a masterpiece, the groove of it just give me fucking chills.
I'm kind of glad they stopped at the number of 2 albums, it make them more unique and special. You can never say what could have been after, but we know for sure that those two albums they made are the perfection (to me :D ).
Until fairly recently, the lack of official Acid Bath material on the internet had pretty much become a meme. You can actually find Kite String on RU-vid now. And I think Rotten Records has finally added both Acid Bath albums to the major streaming services. But they held out for a long time to squeeze all the could out of CD/vinyl and iTunes sales.
According to some bullshit on the internet, the line is anti abortion which makes them "far right". So even talking about abortion makes one far right. Politics are for slaves
considering the source, this sounds amazing... which really shows their technical ability, composition, and mixing (both albums are incredibly well mixed and their live shows generally seem to be as well).
I wish they were still together. Goatwhore is awesome, Acid Bath were more dynamic, more flavor. Every song sounded different. When the Kite String Pops is among my favorite albums along with Vulgar Display of Power, Master of Puppets, Rust in Peace, Deliverence, Seasons in the Abyss, Black Sabbath, Nola, etc... Classic Heavy Metal Music. It would be a huge, epic, classic, legendary reunion.
Bass player died. Singer is out of the metal scene. More folk type stuff. Refuses to get a reunion with a different bass player and maybe thats the way it should be. Legends remain legends unless their legendary status becomes diluted.
wow!the gentleman mentions Seasons inthe abyss..thanku good sir,i appriciate u providing me the understanding that sum veterans w/good taste still exist.+ literate/capable of using modern tech.i assumed the entirety long since expired, due 2 self cannibalism,or locked away in old folks home by ther famillies&ofcourse by now had all comunication devices&electronics in general, confiscated by staff,or lost all privileges, as punishment,...4 bein cool.
@@ericstoecker2096 this would make a reunion even more epic! The fact that he doesn’t want to scream anymore and they generally don’t want to do one, if they announced a reunion now and picked that perfect bass replacement, the shit would be off the Fucken chain!
my buddy dragged me to a show he was opening. it was the 1996 omaha show there are vids for. traveled with another buddy to the milwalkee metalfest that he was playing. that's on the DVD i walk past the camera. was driving down 72nd street in omaha one day and saw that agents of oblivion was playing there that night. also vids on here. it's weird finding them here all these years later.
metalshred11 theyre not under rated at all. anyone who knows about them, praises them extremely highly, including myself. what u meant to say is theyre not very popular
how can they have a reunion when Audi (their bassist) is dead, was the victim of a drunk driver. I guess they could get a new bassist and all, but they're all doing their own thing. Sammy is in Goatwhore and Daxx is now solo after doing stuff with Deadboy
New Corpse the bass player was unfortunately killed while helping a stranded motorists while on his way to the night owl club in fort Walton beach Florida for the celebration show after they got signed.
@@stevenpolk7461 Where did you get this information from? You are very far from the truth. Audie was killed along with his mom and dad by a drunk driver. His little brother, Kelly, was also in the vehicle with them but survived. This happened in my home town of southern Louisiana, not Florida, on a no special day. I know his brother and I am friends with his bandmates from his other project Shrum.
Got turned onto this band this past year jamming this album on a large amount of shrooms was torment hell n pleasure that left me wanting more I bought both albums the next week and had some of the best lyrics repeating in my recovering mind for days... let the blackness roll on
AB shaped my musical journey. Will never forget the late nights at The Handlebar. Absolute shame how it all played out. Thank you for uploading. RIP Audie
Mojave Desert...nights wandering in the middle of nowhere, yet, exactly where we want to be...Acid Bath playing through the truck’s speakers...unforgettable.
favorite live Dax vid... FUCKIN AWESOME how the crowd sings in unison "TEACH ME HOW TO DIE"!!!! would probably sever an arm (or at least a finger) with a rusty razorblade to have been in that fucking pit
I miss this band so much! I miss the shows in the 90s when I was a kid. They just don't rock out like they used to. Too many computers and auto tune now. Just gtfu there and jam!
How do we get the originals anymore. I grew up on this when my bro was special forces in the early nineties. He had two acid bath CDs. I fucking loved it. The cops never returned them when he got raided in 2002 and went to prison. All I can find on youtube is cover's or live . Somebody gotta be at there bootlegging and selling. The most underrated death medal ever.
I was there for that man jump off the skateboard ramp in the mosh pit I am the long black hair guy no shirt. That was one fuck good night. Had so mini more night like that wish I have the hole video and what was going on in the pit..If you have the video if the mosh pit and people jump the skateboard send to me please on my facebook ty
They signed a shit deal with a terrible record label. I can only imagine this caused a lot of problems in the band. They were a bunch of guys from the bayous of Louisiana that took the first record deal they could get. It was a shit show from the start. Agents of Oblivion only existed so that they could meet there obligations to the record label to be free to do what they do now. These guys were beyond awesome. The recordings do not do justice to them. There was a time in my life that I saw these guys play multiple times a week. They were a great live band and should have had way more commercial success than they did. Acid Bath should be in the top list of 90s metal bands. I guarantee they had a very heavy influence on modern metal. Nobody was playing stuff like this back then. They were way ahead of their time.
can't believe i was just 4 years old at the time of this recording, Acid Bath need to do a reunion in a respectful kind of way, they must realise how many people they appeal to, a reunion show would be something incredible. even better if they played with Down and Sleep
That's 100% untrue lol black metal is still much darker sounding than this. Although this does still have a somewhat morbid sound to it. They're both totally different though.
Audrie yes please RIP! And this is the RAW, naked, and nude! So why does the music sound so good!?!? 🤦🏻♂️ and doesn’t even need to be filtered! THESE ARE ARTIST! The fact they sound even better live than on the ALBUM 😶🌫️🤯 DAX and MAYARD…. 🥶
Acid Bath fkn rocks. Dax Riggs is one of the nicest most down to earth people I've ever met. He was more interested in me than I was in him. My name is Chris Miller. Im good. Bruh.
STILL the kings of the underground ! Audies death changed Dax's direction , but without it, we wouldn't have had "Agents of Oblivion " Where Dax found his voice. And "Deadboy and the Elephantmen " Where Dax perfected his voice !
