I played the cassette of this to death at high school and got so much grief from all the hip hop boys who just didn't get it. Used to get called 'gay' a lot. 🙄

Had this on casette and loaned it to a guy a school. He went in the huff with me when his mum told him off for playing it. Apparently she didn't appreciate black guys from Chicago telling her 12 year old son the size of there members over 303 baselines.

Are you sure that was the real reason? It couldn't possibly be because of those "weird", "repetitive" and "evil" TB-303 squelches that were "warping" our minds instead?! 🙄🤣 Yes, my mum and nana both fell for the negative and misleading UK '88 acieeed tabloid hype at the time! Suckers!! 🤣😉 My mum and Nana to my 12-year-old self: " No, there's no way I'm buying you those acid compilations for your birthday; it will corrupt your mind and brain!!! It's the 😈 's music!!!" 😲🤬🤣 Well, it's 2022 and I'm still listening to that "weird", "repetitive" & "evil" acid music. 😲🤭😉🤣

Serious UK put out the best vinyl mixes. I got my copy of House Hits Mega-Mix in 1988 at Bleecker Bob's on Melrose, along with Mix-Up by Cabaret Voltaire. Never knew there was an Acid House mix, too. It's weird how the cover art has aged faster than the music.

I have this on 12 vynyl record, I converted it to mp3 format so that I dont have to mess with a record player, I still listen to it sometimes. I still prefer trax without vocals, but this is the only one that I have. But now I have internet so I can hear the good stuff.
