OMG this is freakin' BRILLIANT!!! THIS is "REAL MAN" shit right here. Stay tuned for his next and (sadly last) pool repair video where his Honor changes the pool light without turning off the power AND standing in waist-deep water. LMFAO!!!
dude that shit is so bad i take care of a pool and i cant even pour a bottle of that shit in without at least covering my face with a shirt and wearing sunglasses so it doesn't waft into my eyes you need a respirator if your doing this for a living
Seriously the fumes will eat your lungs. I didn't know any better with my new pool. Starting pouring in the deep end. Next thing I know is I am gagging. This guy is fng nuts.
a little crazy walkin around barefoot in acid water but the guy is fuckin hilairous them fumes will burn his lungs his nose is runnin, he acidwashed his feet to
Biochemist speaking here. I am assuming you use Hydrochloric acid aka muriatic acid. Stop doing this without some sort of protection, and preferably a lower concentration. Each time you do this you destroy parts of your lungs and gradually you lose respiratory function. It won't be apparent but once you notice the damage is already done. Even wearing a rag soaked in sodiumcarbonate will help but much better would be a full-face mask and as a cheap option tape some tubing to the filter hole and run the tubing a good 30 feet away.
Willem Arnhem Thanks!!!! That day sucked because there was no breeze. I always try to do it on a windy day and stay down wind. I don't do this that often so thanks for the heads up. We are all gonna die of something someday! ...YO!
Brah Kailua or what? Use a diluted solution of at least 50-50. Also water in bucket first then acid. Other way around the acid is strong enough to be stripping waters O2 making heat and possibly bigger problems like one thing the plumes of acidic gas. Too late now right hehehe. Spray the area to be acid washed with water first so the acid goes in even. Always wash off even the weakened solutions after a minute. You should use soda ash to neutralize the acid before its dumped out of pool. Something about waste water treatment plants freaking, sewer lines and storm drain lines concrete being eaten through and collapsing or just everything downstream to the ocean dying. Other than that great job surviving.
You are damaging the pool when you use undiluted acid. It should be a 3:1 ratio water to acid. The acid removes a very fine layer of the pool surface. When it's undiluted it takes way too much off and will weaken it. You should probably be wearing protective boots. When your toe nails start falling off in a few years you'll know why.
ThisToo ShallPass He's doing it completely wrong and very dangerously. Was way too concentrated, no protective equipment, and a stogie to boot. This is actually quite hilarious.
satisfying af to see this come clean.. but completely like .. shocked.. thats not even the right word.. that you are not decked out in a massive respirator ... yo?
I would like very much if you would create a video, having within it an upscale pool that you service.... That seems like a reasonable request, that is, if you have any clients who have an upscale pool. Those Havanas are hard on the lungs...just saying!
Just be careful man, I had a brother and he worked around alot of chemicals and powders, he eventually got a rare fast cancer in his jaw, I believe due to exposure. The cancer ate through his nerves for the face, eye, and hearing. He suffered through 18 hour surgery to remove it and a couple years fight and horrible suffering.. died at 47 after the cancer spread to his brain lungs and bones. Yah don't take chemicals lightly. Be careful and also use the right gear. Thanks for the video!
1. You are not using any protection for yourself 2. You're setting the gardening water dispenser on the copping when you can stain the copping. 3. You're doing all of this while smoking a cigar 4. Hopefully you use a polisher on the plaster after the acid wash because your plaster will be rough. 5. HIRE A REAL PROFESSIONAL!!!
