Frank, well done. Khan Academy has a strong competition with you I believe, when it comes to Orgo. They make things too simple sometimes and drag it out much too long. You are like a lady's skirt; "Long enough to cover everything, but short enough to keep things interesting". As a human being, I am proud of you, and it warms my bones to know that charismatic and knowlegable teachers such as you exist.

I have an exam this wednesday and my teacher taught me nothing but just gave us the ppt slide so i was freaking out, looked at the crash course video but i got nothing out of that -.- but this helped me so much because im a slow learner so i just want to say a huge thank you! i think ill pass this following exam thanks to you ^^

Shrubbsss! I have not forgotten you haha, just been procrastinating to come up with a good answer. But here's what I got: Strong acids and bases interfere with the bonds in amino acids. And since amino acids make up the proteins both our cells and scattered throughout the cell membranes it causes the proteins to breakdown and no longer function properly.
