On August 8th and 9th
2022, the Truth Commission held the meeting “Truth and Non-Repetition: Legacy for Colombia and for Transitional Justice Globally”, as a closing with the international community. It was a space to express gratitude and to recount the lessons learned by this State entity during its mandate, which remain as advances in Transitional Justice in Colombia for the world.

The president, Francisco De Roux, and the commissioner Lucía González, along with Secretary-General of the Truth Commission, Mauricio Katz, thank the international community for its support to the Truth Commission and to the peace process of Colombia. Also in the encounter: Débora Barros, Wayuú leader from Bahía Portete and victim of the internal armed conflict, and Carlos Ruiz Massieu, Head of the United Nations Verification Mission in Colombia.
