Is that the Bodymoor Heath pool that you fished? i'm wondering if i can still get out far enough with my Red Range 10ft feeder rod and without the need of a shockleader.
I meant if i could get out far enough to still catch....not the distance that these rods can cast to but i guess it is stupid asking that here especially to those making the video because they just want me to buy this rod...
Its a beautiful lake i walked around it the other day but you do need to cast far out so there is the need for this rod. I probably could catch still chucking out 40 meters but i think its best to chuck out at least 60 meters. I think i will treat myself to this rod next summer when i fish this lake, doubt it would be much good in the winter. I know this was over a year ago now, but did Alan and Steve pre bait their swims either the day before fishing or just at the start of the session? i know a guy that fished the Bodymoor quite a bit and he used to pre bait with groundbait the day before fishing and he caught Bream upto 12lb...big Bream in that lake but this was some time ago, hopefully theres' still some that big in there now.
