Dude, nobody loves Star Wars more than me, but this show is a huge disappointment. You killed Carrie Anna off in the first 39 seconds of the show. Throw in some Skywalker like Twins, then have a very interesting Jedi commit suicide? WTF? Twins?! Come on, we deserve better than Twins!!!!! This show better come around quickly. Twins!!! I can’t get over that! Maybe their last name is Cloudwalkers or maybe Skyrunners! Do better Micky!!

@@Yamas258 They definitely massacred force users or night sisters (both maybe) if you rewatch the trailers, you see the 4 Jedi when younger surrounded by a dark group, Sol gives a lightsaber to Osha/Mae, then the dark robed people knock the floating Jedi unconscious... although I think they might actually have taken control of him. Possibly using him to start a fight that the Jedi 'won' but that involved massacring the people.. This would also explain why Mae believes Jedi will strike first because she doesn't know that he was brainwashed. It also explains why he has meditated his life away and was grateful for the end.... Of course I am usually wrong, but I like my theory :D

That he could handle himself against Mae was stupid. A big plot issue for me is Qimir (apothecary guy) knowingly aided in the murder of a Jedi, yet the "investigative team" are quite happy to let him go with a warning if he assists them later that night...riiiight! If you want a spoiler look up the cast credits for Episode 1. That tells you who "he" is.

the jedi master killing himself for guilt is very interesting. I also quite liked how the twin showed compassion by saving the prisoner and the bartender, but how compassion backstabs them with the prisoner escaping alone in the escape pod and the bartender reporting on her. Also, how master sol just immediately tabs into the prisoner's mind, reminding us how powerful the jedi were. all in all, lots to love in this show

I feel like the 4 jedi went to get one of the girls to train as a jedi, the family didn't want to seperate them, a big argument broke out and the fire might have been an accident. Either the parents did it to hide the girls but failed or the sisters did it to try to escape.

I don’t like that Ryan keeps saying or theorizing that Osha, was kicked out of the order but in the first episode Osha says she left of her own accord to Yord. Master Sol himself has said explicitly that Osha WAS a Jedi to Yord as well. And it is said throughout both episodes multiple times that Osha left the force of her own will. It seems like a very weird and blinding miss for the Screen Crush team.

He had such a knowledge of the dark side, he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying." Mae was presumed Dead... What if... the sith lord is Darth Plagueis, and it was him who brought back Mae or stoped her from dying?

I hate to burst your "Osha is the evil twin" theory. I see two major flaws. 1. Osha's life has a distinct path that led to being Meknek and 2. Mae was oblivious the Osha's existence and has her own path she's following. IMO, Osha has a connection with the force but is unable to wield it.

5:48 I'd say no it doesn't though. She didn't inject the poison in him, she didn't use a weapon at all, she offered him a choice. He chose to die, to me how she killed him epitomizes killing without a weapon when you can convince your opponent to not even fight and simply kill themselves immediately.

I'm calling it. The four Jedi on Mai's hit list were responsible for starting the fire. I don't think it's only about leaving Mai and taking Osha. I think the Jedi received information, either through Force vision or otherwise, that unthinkable horror would come from Osha/Mai or their families. Then, as Kung Fu Panda's Master Oogway says, "One often meets his destiny on the road he takes to avoid it." I think Mai saw everything, but was presumed dead. Osha, however, was still breathing. Master Sol grew a conscience and decided that there was another path - mind wipe. I really hope this isn't the case - as it would steal ANY thunder from a Revan/Malak movie, but I think we're headed to something like it.

My theory is that the Jedi that May is hunting are the one's responsible for the fire that killed her family. They blamed her and left her for dead, when in reality they the caused a massacre and lied about it.

I think that the "apothecary" guy is a Scoundrel, but not the "good person" scoundrel like Han Solo but a straight up "bad person" or Outlaw kind of person who just is not a "good person." I also would not be at all surprised if he turned out to actually be Mae's Master. As for the motivation of Mae, my guess is that the 4 Jedi on that planet became aware of identical twins who were Force Sensitive and wondered what would happen if one were trained as a Jedi and one was not, and set up the fire and told each twin that the other one had started the fire but had perished. Some kind of wild, wacky, Jedi version of My Fair Lady.

I was trying to figure out why Mae is killing with weapons, but then I realized she actually wants SOL's saber. I also believe she was not trying to kill Sol at that time because she needs him to be last in the list for some reason. Feels like there is something Sol (or any of the Jedi Mae is targeting) is not divulging in the story. I am wondering if the 5 Jedi were involved in causing the fire on Brendok. I am also wondering if Sol is part of a separatist movement to the Jedi, and possibly a Sith turn himself. Something the others may have regretted, which is why they were in seclusion or a 10 year meditation...

Floaty Jedi guy is a practical effect. The base and arm holding him up are hidden inside the robe trailing on the ground. It’s a standard magic trick I’ve seen explained in various shows.

I think when Sol asks Mae why she attacks without a weapon - as was pointed out by someone else - it is a recognition that there is something ritualistic about it. She clearly possesses the force and wields it, but it's not simple darkness. There's something religious and symbolic about how she is going about this attack. I think he recognizes a rite/trial or something similar in what he's seeing - something that is clearly intentional, but not tactical. And of course, if Mae and Osha are so deeply connected, his connection to Osha would very possibly equal an ability to connect with Mae in like manner.

They didn’t “kick her out” rewatch episode one. When they introduce Osha, and Yord and his padawan were questioning her the padwan implied she couldn’t cut it and Osha said it was her decision to walk away. And Osha’s Tattoo isn’t the only way you can tell them apart. Mae has a circular tattoo or marking above her brow, but under her bangs on the left hand side.

It shows just how identical and connected they are. There are cases of identical twins separated at birth raised elsewhere from each other end up living remarkably similar lives. So it wouldn't be a stretch to 2 force connected identical twins to adopt the same look. What's harder to believe is that they are BOTH strong in the force but neither knows the other is alive. Especially if one is powerful enough to assassinate multiple Jedi.

They did use the Volume for Andor, just not as much as in other shows. This show also definitely used the Volume and for something genuinely awesome. I'm pretty sure when Osha is in the vision and the world changes around her that's in the Volume. It's a really amazing technique that would be basically impossible otherwise. The first time it happened in that sequence I was blown away and thought it was just a really good match warp, but then they did it again to amazing effect and I was sure it was the Volume. Very cool use of an amazing technology, very Star Wars :D

If they can pull it off, I'm not opposed to the idea. I much prefer the idea that, rather than being "badass evil warriors", the Sith are shadowy, highly intelligent, manipulative deceivers. He definitely plays the Verbal Kent type, but there's a hint of something more lurking under the surface when he says "you look ... exactly like her"

I am fairly certain that the reason Rey and Ben were able to communicate long distances was because of Snoke, to manipulate Rey into tryin to turn Ben back to the light. I think he even says that in the movie

I have a crazy theory that Qimir is secretly the Sith master and knew exactly what was going on both when Mae cheated her assignment by coming to him for poison and when Osha tried to record his “confession”. Imagine Jason Mendoza being the secret mastermind

I like the theory, but I'm leaning the other way. I think Qimir is going to be revealed to be the actual Sith Apprentice, with the masked Sith being the master. Both are using Mae for their plan and I think that the end of the show will see both the master and Mae die, with the Jedi thinking they've destroyed the last of the Sith. Meanwhile, Qimir will go on to either train Darth Plageius, or be Disney's interpretation of Darth Plageius

@@ScorchipProductions we know that Darth Plagueis was trained by Darth Tenebrous, so qimir cannot be his master, and ofc Darth Plagueis trained Sidious, so the only thing that can work here is that Qimir is an apprentice of some of theese masters, which will fail or something...

@@ChemicalEuphoria Unless Qimir is Darth Tenebrous. There is nothing in Disney canon so far that says Tenebrous has to be a Bith like his Legends counterpart. Our only canon knowledge of Tenebrous is he trained Plageius and maybe designed Maul's ship (which already has a different official designer). So we're right around the time period that Tenebrous would have been active

The floating monk looked like a marionette from Team America World Police. They makeup/beard were unsettling and creepy. I had no idea practical effects could send you spiraling so hard into the uncanny valley. That, however, is my only criticism. I enjoyed the show and I'm glad for more Star Wars content!

For me, the magic in good Star Wars is the character development/ relationships and the feeling of a huge cohesive universe. The OT was so good because the plot felt secondary to the cast and the feel of the setting. The first episode of Acolyte didn’t hit those marks for me, but the second one started getting there. I’m hopeful.

14:50 I think the ending scene with the Jedi actually took place before he told Mya where he was. He used to work for the Hutts, and the scavengers spoke Huttese. Maybe they gave up his location.

Something is not right. The end of ep 2 they were trying to bring Mae in peacefully. Sol didn’t want to harm her. We learned Mae thought her sister dead. When Mae sees Osha look at her face. She calls out “Oshie” with a look of disbelief. Mae looked like she wanted to go to her, to reunite with her lost sister. Osha knew they were trying to bring her in. She was trained with a stunner. It even looked like she misses on purpose. The look on OSHA’s face is anger and hostility mixed with pain. Looked like she fired at Mae to make her run. Osha is the dark lord teacher.
