Nope. I really liked Aeofel. Would have preferred that he returned when Kurtz took his Binwin ball and went home. And yes I would have loved Viari and Aeofel to have met outside of being an NPC played by Chris Perkins.

I 100% agree. I am an enormous Jerry stan but the dynamic just isn't there for me anymore. Chris' last show was the last time I actually watched. I've tried to get back into it a couple of times and I just can't.

Man, same. I use to wait with baited breath or a new episode. Would rewatch past episodes just to relive the humor. Jim brought the perfect ying/yang to the style of humor. Still great quality, but I guess we just have to March onwards.

Mostly true and I believe the new blood has added many fun moments to the proceedings. Chris then Pat and now Jim was just a lot of change to take in consecutive years. Though there are a few "OG Diehards" they never put up this sort of fuss for Wil or Scott. Though there is one thing that has begun to bother me regarding Crawford as I binge to the end. And that's the pacing issue of a total lack of breather between and of his sessions. It's this weird stranglehold on time despite the actual pacing. It segregates AI from everything else in the established universe. It also steps on the guest DMs that have been required do to his own absences. It's very dismissive and treats those episodes as non-continuity filler. I don't see that as properly respectful and Mike's last stint was the best session he's ever DMed. Sorry about the rant. Jeremy is s pretty fine DM otherwise but those flaws are a glaring error.

@@B0uff0s it was definitely the character. If you got your panties in a twist it means the actress was doing a great job.

I definitely would want closure at the very least. Though some of the characters have been killed off for real. And the way Morgaen has always been used to fill an empty seat means she is the one most likely to not get a proper send off.

Honestly, if Jerry does want to eventually retire from being in every single episode, I’m totally on board with him passing the torch in this way. I do still hold on hope that any one of the OG characters might make the odd cameo, though.

yeah I feel the same way. I rewatch all the old stuff every night as I go to sleep. Season 2, 3 and all the way up to when Chris left. After that it seemed to go downhill and is going down exponentially quicker. Too much leftist ideology influencing the production to be blunt and honest. Really really miss Mike's input and quirky jokes, especially between Jim and Binwin, what a duo! Still can't get over the "oh yeah!" scene where Binwin and Jim fight over the beer robots belly spout haha! I guess maybe women like the new setup, and so this is more inclusive, but well.. I still miss the old school DnD where the characters funny interactions were more important than the story line(which was awesome thanks to Chris playing into the characters interactions and history). I'm just going to rewatch the old ones forever. I'm typing this during this current episode and I'm just not bothered with the story or characters anymore :( Please link me if Mike or Scott are doing DnD somewhere else! I would love to tune in.

Players and characters come and go, but the game and the memories live on. Since the beginning of DnD, it's been these characters that have shaped these worlds we still play in today. So we say rest in peace to Mr. Gygax, thank you to Chris Perkins, and the way we keep Viari alive isn't by asking for Pat to come back, but by asking if we can use acrobatics for the religion check instead. Be the energy you want to see, and never forget what made you love the game, but don't let that stop you from appreciating what's going on here now, either. These are some of the players and characters that will help set the stage for so many of our adventures to come. Someday I promise you'll be saying you miss Bobby and Strix, too

Its not that I dont enjoy Jeremys DM'ing, or the new players, its just that Mike, Scott and Jerry along with Pat were the dream team XD Xavier has some funny moments, but The whole WWF crowd that came along is a bit too in your face with the enthusiasm.

There's a session that takes place in the Witchlight Carnival -- it takes place between the game run by Kate and the timestop game. For some reason it's not included in the big Acq Inc playlist.

I felt that early on when he was talking about being a holy barbarian. I don't know if he's even aware that it's an alternate subclass. Though with the development of the gag where he doesn't entirely get Lathander and his penchant for blood and violence of come around to the idea that Berserker is still the best choice for him.

Of course you'd have no idea what's going on when you haven't watched in over half a decade. It's like starting a book series by grabbing a book from somewhere in the middle of the overall story and opening it to a random page.

GATHERED THRONG, this was fantastic! Some of the awkward 'vibes' as it were, of the last show were defiantly prevalent. I imagine it's extremely difficult meshing three groups of distinct personality archetypes as PCs--is no simple task. But as the Ice Wind Dale chapter came to a close, and a new story started taking hold--I could really feel the team building a strong connection again and it filled my heart with so much joy! This felt like dozens of other stories told through the years of Acq Inc--and to see it take hold again, was, plainly. Incredible. I love seeing the dark mind of Jeremy Crawford as a DM shine through again, especially with the Lovecraftian overtone of the party gaining Diamond the Duchess of Delight. I was fully expecting total 'annihilation', but the choice to have Diamond use psychological hedonism/'delight' as a form of attack was a waking moment, also the sinister Juggalos in a somewhat dystopian Waterdeep (slightly mimicking our own late-stage capitalistic world in the US) are always fantastic, as well. I could talk about the dynamics of the team interactions all day and how amazing it was to see it all come together, but peons follow above and below. @@BenChilds i mean it is iconic and normal for jerry however 15 years of a running gag is a bit much not to mention everyone says the will Wheaton curse originated with Will but if u ever listen to the early pod casts they did when mike first rolled up jim jerry was the origins of the Wheaton curse it just clung so hard to will that the world nearly invertied itself

Interesting idea but after 15 years wouldn't you think it a continuity error if Omin Dran was suddenly lucky without explanation. Unlucky is on brand at this point.

In the 80s D&D was still in the hands of TSR. It's just a change in terminology anyway. Two ways of describing the same weapon. Unless your thinking of the flail equivalent. Which much like the iron maiden is believed to be a hoax historically speaking.

I wish they would start a new campaign. But in true Omin fashion they won't let AI die because of how recognizable the name is now and how much money they make from it. But I think them starting a totally fresh Campaign would draw in a ton of new people and be more popular than AI as it has become. AI hasn't even been what I would call a "campaign" for several years at this point - they just kept jumping between adventure modules as they came out until all sense of continuity was completely tossed out the window.
