To some degree all sports that require judging are affected by politics. I believe certain figure skating events are notorious for this, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist in other places in different degrees. goblue562 I'm more impressed by the drivers. Van Damme mostly had to do a split and hold himself steady. The drivers...they had to pull apart at exactly the same pace, accelerate at the same pace, and separate to the exact correct distance, otherwise we would have had Jean Claude van Dammit I Fell.

He's 53. And if he screwed up the Volvo trick, he'd end up under the tire of a 5 tonne bus, not on a padded cushiony surface.
