You forgot to check the speed of the Acrocanthosaurus when it is in its adrenaline mode.

Good idea! Was already planning to make an "Extra" to this video. Where I was going to compare their total damage in 5 minutes, seeing who is the better boss killer. I'll try not to forget mentioning the speed when in adrenaline mode in that video. Thanks for the help ;)

dont forget that whitout other mods or admin cheats the acro is only limited to prim saddles while the rex can use higer quality ones,also the acro now enters the adrenaline mode much slower when attacked by other animals.

There's a upgrade bench mod where u can improve any saddle. I think an Acro saddle works too.

Makes sense since the acro is almost 10 times harder to tame. You only need crossbow and tranq to tame rex and you can most of the time outrun it since the rex is rather slow.

The acro shouldn’t be more powerful than a Rex, considering they were smaller and had a much weaker bite. Great video zed

Man there are so many Dino’s that should be in the vanilla game. Like why can’t the acrocanthosaurus and brachiosaurus be in the vanilla? Guess I need to save up 2 grand and just get a pc

Mods in Ark are amazing, since the devs are kinda lazy. There is a lot of great mods that blend perfectly into the base game, so getting a pc and having access to mods is a good idea.

ZedFiles I’m definitely gonna have to. Can I play with the additional creatures I believe there are a few mods that add in over fifty new Dino’s and it not disrupt the vanilla Dino’s?

Yeah, I'll soon make a Top 5 Mods video covering modded creatures that work well with vanilla creatures. Some of the mods are Ark Additions: The Collection and also the multiple Ark Additional Creatures mods.

ZedFiles ok cool. If I had the Jurassic park mod and only wanted certain Dino’s from the mod on my server would that be possible to disable like the jp Rex’s raptors Carnos etc?

Yes, you can do that in the game's ini settings. There's also a mod called Jurassic Park Expansion Rebalance which takes some of the creatures from the original and balances the creatures for vanilla.

I think you make a fault. The DPS of the Rex can not be 129.6 when he make 102 dmg in 1.2 sec. DPS is Damage per second or am i wrong? *thinking* Nevermind. You are right. xD

Lmao yeah it’s 1.2 times every second not ONCE every 1.2 seconds, which a few viewers get mixed up with.

Someone mentioned that you can only craft primitive saddles for acro. Learned it the hard way. Fighting a near max lvl alpha raptor. I think I'll stick to my tek rex for now. Haha

I think acro lose bonuses test because Acro can damage Stone which is actually bad since it is impossible to tame it without trapping it means you should have metal trap

It can damage stone structures but a wild Acro would take a while to break down stone gates. In PvP, damaging stone structures is very useful, and would be more efficient when tamed.

Not a bad tradeoff for taming, Rex can be tamed just standing on a cliff and tranquilize them while they mindlessly walk into the cliff or trap it with dinosaur gates. the acro isn't something you could tame by just shooting darts all over it hence more risky and not as cheap to tame one. but trade offs are good, rex is good for fast taming, while taming an acro needs more patience but slightly more overpowered.

Hey Zed, I have had occasions where fire damage is both counted towards the adrenaline and mitigated by strafing. Could you see if this is the case?

Since fire damage is percentage based, it will still do the same amounts of damage when the Acro is strafing.

The only thing with arco is that, it’s really bad at fighting bosses and Titans due to it doing more damage to smaller dinos. I’ve tested it out

2:00 it's wrong, acro should have more dps because it attacks 0.7/sec and trex should have less dps because it attacks 1.2/sec

Well, in island, and the center its still the second strongest, but cmon stronger than a elemental golem or a magmasaur, but yes, it needs a bulkier model and some new habilities, but not surpassing theris strenght

Fun fact:I hate ark mods Acro is 4 meters in height and 11 meters in length Rex is 6 meters in height and 12 meters in length Rex bite force is 6ton with much larger Teeth Acro bite force is 1 ton

Bite force isn't everything. Hyenas have a higher bite force than lions but they are not as deadly either.

The Rex’s automatic roar makes the it perform much worse in unmounted combat. I wanted the battle to be a realistic fight to test the creatures’ real unmounted combat capabilities so that viewers will see a battle that would likely occur for them in game. If I let the Rex aggro against the Acro first so that its roar would finish in time, then the fight wouldn’t really be real to the game.

Realistically, the Rex should be stronger than the Acro, but this is Ark, and in Ark the Rex is extremely underpowered. Especially compared to the Giga and even the Spino, the Rex in Ark definitely needs a buff.
