If you're a big Spider-Man fan, we did a chaotic interview with Tom Holland a few years ago that you should check out too 🕷: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-69MyVXZaHUE.html
I'm seeing the movie tomorrow (T-minus 12 hours almost exactly, in fact), and I'm so excited! I've tried to avoid spoilers as much as possible, while still hearing people's reviews and opinions, and everyone seems to love it completely (with the only common complaint being that people didn't realize it was part 1 and Beyond was part 2 coming out in March). I've never seen any of Andrew's movies, except No Way Home, so for me, choosing a best Spider-Man comes as a choice between Toby, Tom, Jake Johnson, and Shameik (and I guess Chris Pine, Nicholas Cage, and Oscar Isaac, too). Of those, Toby's the one who really captures that nostalgia, but only because he was the first. I've got to say, Shameik and Tom both tie for first place for me (which I will allow to stand without a tie-breaker because Miles and Peter are different people 😝).
Are we talking the accent or sound mixing. I mean I'm british and could barely hear him because of the sound mixing, I understood what he was saying, it was just really quiet
I really hope Andrew Garfield, Tobey Maguire, and Tom Holland all returning to reprise their role in this, and especially Nicholas Cage as the voice of Spider-Man Noir (I also think he should play a live-action Spider-Man Noir. I know he’s 59. How old is that character anyway?) I also hope Zendaya, Emma Stone, Kristen Dunst, Marisa Tomei, Sally Field, Alfred Molina, Willem Defoe, Rhy Ifans, Thomas Haden Church, Tom Hardy, Topher Grace, and Jamie Foxx all return for Beyond The Spider-Verse. I also wish that Beyond The Spider-Verse gets a PG-13 rated and at least gets a 3hrs run-time (if they want to make it happen. I know they don’t have to if they don’t want to.) I really wish some animated films like Dreamworks, Sony and Disney & Pixar were at least 2hrs long. Most of them were too short sometimes like, 1hr 30mins or 1hr 40 something minutes
@Teevee his Peter was not. His Spider-Man was. His Peter was way too cool acting. Tom is the only one who embodies both equally well. But Andrews Spider-Man is just slightly better. Toby only has the better movies. Besides #3.
@@djdubc09271 60s Peter Parker maybe, but by like the 80s through 2000s in the comics Peter actually ends up becoming kind of cool and less of a social outcast after he gets his powers though. He gains much more confidence in himself and becomes more like that popular nerd in high school who a lot of cheerleaders ask to tutor them (in fact that's literally what happens in the Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon lol). Andrew Garfield fit that interpretation of the character well.
@Dev1359 yeah when he's in his 20s and in college. Not when he's still in HS like in Andrew's movies. And he is still a nerd even then. Not any generation of Peter Parker is portrayed the way like on the Amazing movies. Grabbing his gf in front of the whole school, kissing her all dramatically and throwing up his hands to the crowd saying "WHOOO! YEAHHH!" like he just hit a game winning buzzer beater. Not Peter Parker at all. Peter Parker even in college in his 20s would never do something like that. You're not talking about the same thing I'm talking about. A nerd can be popular and can have girls. I've seen it myself. How OTHERS treat him is not what I am referring to. I've watched and read so many different versions of the character, not one actually makes him a cool punk rocker type dude like in Andrew's movies jnless some kinda alternate timeline version. Not any canon versions of the character. So my point remains.
@@djdubc09271 nah, newer versions of Peter in comics and cartoons have portrayed him as a cooler kid in high school as well. Bendis/Bagley's Ultimate Spider-Man, and the Spectacular Spider-Man animated series. Still a nerdy dork, but also much more confident socially and not the outcast like he was in the older comics.
As dope as having Shameik to be a live action Miles, I highly doubt they’d cast him since he’s much older, however it would be dope if he played Miles G morales in a live action Spider-Man movie. He’s already rocking the dreads.
Hailee Stanfield be like - i don't care because i meets with Tom Holland in upcoming spider man home series and Avengers kang Dynasty 😅😅😅😅😏🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱😏😏😏🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
3:26 so, i'm having a feeling that, the cast knows that in "Beyond The Spider Verse" they'll appear in live action as their characters, idk why but, i think that'll happen.
3:15 I hate it when people break the rule of a though experiment. Like a challenge or something being ignored. I would say the boyfriend from the CW show Naomi personally.
Hes nostalgia , great movies but garfield takes it in resembling spiderman easily. If he had the movies that tobey had he wouldve been such a big thing.
@@dahoodcash8916 The next movie wont be done in time for 2024. I know they said it would, but with the writer's strike and possibly actor's strike coming up, it's gonna get delayed. Just hope it isnt another 5 year wait.
daniel kaluuya is soooooo good as hobie. I think I see some older brother energy radiating from him towards shameik, in the most wholesome way. Like hobie was a very well written mentor but in a different way than peter B. was. like speaking to a different part of his journey.
The opening to the movie and that song when she was talking about her peter was amazing. Metro Boomin, Coi Leray - Self Love (Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse)
Bro Shameik is too old to play live action Miles…everyone knows it. He won’t get that role. He’s phenomenal as Miles’ voice actor but yea not live action
he's not..I saw a video of someone who in the industry that works in casting..Hollywood doesn't like to cast actual teenagers for teenage roles..they prefer people in their 20's or even 30 if they look young..so I guarantee no 15 year old is playing Miles in a live action movie.
I love the idea of both Shameik and Hailee playin their characters in a live action Spiderman! shameik without the beard and slimmed down plays a perfect teen like he did in DOPE. and Hailey is literally the real life Gwen!
When On the Run by Cerebral Ballzy played in the movie theater I about lost my ish. I started singing and everything. My seat neighbor thought I was crazy but, oh well!
