You are a godsend.. trying to start my press on business and have been looking for consistent videos. Now do you know if people use polygel or gel nail polish for press ons? Or is acrylic with gel polish the only option.. sorry if it's a crazy question..
@@sinverrette9803 Thanks love 💖 Also people do gel for press ons as well & I’ve never worked with or seen poly gel used for press ons but I’m almost sure you can, I don’t see why not .
This is the tutorial I have been searching for!! Every tutorial I watch immediately goes into doing their nails, but you actually go into teaching technique and what to be looking out for and that is so helpful. Absolutely amazing, thank you so much!
These are so freaking Beautiful. When I say that i mean absolutely gorgeous. I'm trying to do press on with acrylic powder and this was so helpful and the best video I've found and trust me ive seen them all💕💕
This is the time of year where your acrylic can dry really fast because it’s hot. Try cooling down the room you’re in & possibly use a slower setting acrylic. You can also keep a bit more liquid in your brush to help it not dry so quickly & work faster.
I just started my nail journey and the nail girlies are not friendly or helpful at all😭 I was really struggling with my nail application and this is EXACTLY what I needed. Thank you this was very helpful!
@@PorcheNailedIt Update!!! I used this method and my application in a matter of almost 2 weeks (I only started 2 weeks ago) has improved TREMENDOUSLY!!! I wish I could send you a pic girl I didn’t even have to file! Just seal the cuticle and shape🥹
@@TheAListAsh Aww hun I SO love that for you !!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽💖 You keep at it , it’s gonna become second nature to you 😌 Also you’re welcome to send me photos to my Instagram if you want , same handle @porchenailedit 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽
Definitely the most in depth UP CLOSE and well explained video I've seen. You even dropped some gems for the girlies and guys! This was very helpful in starting my journey, Thank you so much for this!
So awesome im learning so much from all my RU-vid girls love my lovely mimi jamilitas nails zulays nails vee and now u 😍 u all r amazing teacher's keep up the good work i have RU-vid channel my self i do it for fun love doing my nails asmrs food videos and all kinds of crazy stuff im simple pretty nails
This is so informative!! My daughter is getting into nails so obviously I’m going to support her and do my own research to ensure that she’s as successful as she can be.. After you clean the brush how do you store it?
Thank you for this video! I've been doing my nails with gel, and just started trying acrylic. This is very helpful. I see like 5 things I was doing wrong!
Thanks for sharing your application. I can tell the difference between being experienced and a beginner working with "beginner friendly" acrylics. Dynamic seemed hard to work with at first because I had to learn a good powder to bead ratio to make it lay like butter. I find that with all acrylics I've tried but from experience I can tell which ones are really not that good though.
This is the first video I've watched of urs and I am totally in love. This is just what I needed. I'm self teaching thru u talented youtube ladies and I had just about given up on acrylic but thanks to this video, I'm gonna spend all day tmrw practicing what u taught! Thank u and I'm looking forward to binge watching ur videos! ❤❤
@@teathersboujeenailstuff Hey Queen ! 💗 I hope you’re well , long time no see 🫶🏽 I recommend Nail Hause Kolinsky brushes all day every day 🙌🏽 They’re such good quality I’ve been using them for years , they also last years 🤌🏽✨
When I lay my first bead I can never get it to drag all the way down so I I always end up using a bunch of beads and the nail comes out lumpy ! Am I using to dry of a bead or not enough powder ? Great video btw ‘ Very helpful
Hey love ! 💗 it could be both. Practice picking up more powder & use a little bit more liquid. You’ll find your ratio it just takes a little practice & observation. I would say using a larger brush helped me as well because it holds more liquid & you can pick up larger beads. But work with what you’re comfortable with 💖
This is perfect for beginners ❤ thank you for wasting acrylic for us 😂 I’m loving this video! What app do you use to record? I’m about to start recording. I started my first RU-vid channel 🤗 but I’m new to all of this… also I’m waiting on my tripod to come in. I ordered the one you have listed on Amazon 🥰
That big bead hurt my soul 🤣🤣 Jk , you are so welcome ! 💖 I use my iPhone to record and iMovie to edit. I have a video on my channel on how to use iMovie to edit . Congrats babe & good luck on your new journey ✨🫶🏽
Here’s my issue, I’ve watched no lie, over 30 “liquid to powder” ratio videos. EVERYONE has a completely different technique. How they wipe liquid off the brush, whether they swipe or tap into the powder, some prefer to work with a drier bead, others prefer to work with a more wet/runny bead.. etc. So far, your video and ONE OTHER RU-vidrs video, has ACTUALLY HELPED me, HOWEVER… I still just CANNOT get it. I’ve been trying to learn nails for over 5 years, & this is the one thing I’ve never been able to get down pack. It’s making me want to start distancing myself from the idea that I’ll ever be able to do nails. It’s definitely been way over 5 years, but I’ll just stick with that. I no longer feel motivated almost…. I just want to give up tbh . I’ve tried a size 8, 10, & 12 kolinsky brush. I’ve tried different acrylic powders such as Mia’s Secret, Kiara Sky, Young Nails, KRYLX, Valentino, etc (all good brands.) I’ve tried different monomers such as Young Nails, Mia’s Secret, Valentino & Kiara Sky. NO MATTER WHAT… my beads 1. ALL come out the same size no matter how many times I dip my brush, in the liquid & no matter how much monomer I remove from the brush. & 2. My bead is either WAY too wet, or WAY too dry.. there is NEVER an inbetween. There is NEVER a “correct” bead… EVER. I’m becoming so frustrated bc it is obviously ME that is the issue… but idk what the heck IM doing so wrong!!!!
The amount of times I’ve watched this is insane. 😂❤ like at least 12 times throughout time. After watching that prep video😩😮💨🥴 💯💯I listen to all your advice LOVE LOVE LOVE this video . ALWAYS learning something with every single video you do. I noticed that you use literally the tip of your brush when applying the acrylic. The slow motion moments are EVERYTHING. Great video Porche 😘😘
My problem is that the monomer always gets sticky. No matter how much I wipe the brush off, it gets so sticky. 🙈 How do I avoid this, is it the brush that is the problem?
@@PorcheNailedIt in general. I have modelones acrylic and another that is horrible. And That one was super expensive alsow. But i always get this sticky monomer in the end, and dont need to make many nails before it get sticky, so this is my only reason to give up acrylic, and use gel and polygel insted, but it is so much slower then acrylic is
Hi im a beginner mail tech & I wanted to know if the temperature affects the acrylic application? Because rn im in my garage but I do have a fan going, and my acrylic dries a little too fast for me
Hi love ! Yes it absolutely does ! Extremely warm temperatures make the acrylic dries almost instantly 😩 and when it’s too cold it’s super runny & it dries slow. In the warmer months having a fan/air running helps a lot. Also a larger brush is your friend as it holds more monomer , the hotter it is using more liquid on the brush/working wetter helps a ton. Use a slower setting monomer if you can as well. Also I have heard of people cooling their monomer in the fridge I guess , I’ve seen a cup of ice lol I don’t know about all that and all of the details but I do recommend all of the other things above 💖 hope this helps.
Thank u so much, babess. I've been looking for this. I ordered a kit with all the acrylic essentials I am 10 years old, and people say I will suck because I'm so young, but
I am getting ready to get into acrylic nails and looking up videos that will help. so far your video has been the most helpful one i like that it is in real time to show how you do it
It’s not it’s literally the way I’m holding my finger to move it from the other nail while applying acrylic. I’m able to do that with my joints . If you look when I hold my finger straight it’s straight. Thanks.
I'm doing my daughter's nails in the morning so this will be helpful. I've done it to mine before but couldn't get the bed to monomer ratio correct... you are truly appreciated. Wow the mistakes I was making. Whew!!
Thank you for sharing. I’ve been trying to find a video showing the Alex application exactly! I see it so much now but never explained into detail. Thank you
I love your video. It mentions things others don’t mention like how you healed your pinky out and how you dip your brush into the powder with the side that you didn’t dry & How to hold your finger in a downward angle to let gravity do his job but it would’ve been so much better if you could’ve showed us the part you was talking about while you were doing it. I got a lil confused because you were talking about the cuticle, but you were laying acrylic on the middle of the nail. But overall this is a great video
Awesome job on this tutorial Porche! I'm going to try a couple things you suggested and see if it will help my cuticle work. Lol it's not bad or anything it's just that I don't have like a specific process for the cuticle area, if that makes sense? Lol Anyway, Thank you for sharing your thoughts and knowledge and I'll see you soon! 🙂💙💙💙
I have saved so many beginner videos and this has been the easiest to understand and absorb❤ even though I been doing my nails for yes now I dont do them often enough to know what I'm doing. Like u said there is so much to learn nd be one with ur products is so true. I'm always rushing nd making a mess lol
Thanks for this video here it really help me out. This is why I enjoy your channel so much. because I can follow your instructions very well 🙂 thank you again
Some people use monomer warmers which I have yet to find however for me I just add a few drops of acetone to my monomer and that balances it out & works perfectly for keeping the acrylic in check/dry faster💖💖
