I've been licensed for 25 years, and educated in several different product techniques (Tammy Taylor OPI, and YN). Yours is the best explanation I have EVER heard! Kudos!
I started doing my own acrylics in 2000. I have never seen a better explanation of liquid to powder ratio. No one has ever thought to give a formula before. Normally people just say "practice makes perfect" "if you can't control it its too wet" etc. You are the first one who thought to make a formula for consistent size and moisture content. This is brilliant.
Wow who would of thought a number method was easier to understand monomer to acrylic ratio. I will be doing this method more often because I sometimes still struggle with picking up beads.
i’m a beginner nail tech and i’ve been wrecking my brain trying to get my bead to liquid ratio down. out of all the videos i’ve watched this one was the most informative and easiest to follow 🥺 thank you! ❤️
Amazing! This is THE BEST method I’ve seen for liquid-to-powder ratio on all of RU-vid! And so easy to understand and remember! I can’t wait to try it! Thank you!💗💗💗 And everyone remember to FLIP THR BRUSH to pick up powder! I’m self-taught and that was the one thing people forgot to say in demonstrations. It took me months to realize, and actually see, that they were using the opposite side of the brush.😂🤣
I just started getting into nails because I want to be able to do it myself instead of going to a salon. I'm so happy I found your channel!! Your videos are so so good for beginners. I was having the hardest time with acrylic, but this video was 100% helpful. Can't wait to watch more of your content 🥰
Out of the blue I have wanted to do my own acrylic nails. I have no training just youtube taught. I’ve watched many on RU-vid show how to pick up beads and ive tried all the ways I’ve seen. You by far have made it easy for me. Thank you 😊
I’m here from the bottom of my heart I’ve been doing nails almost 2 years and literally THIS just upped my game. I’ve been searching for this for a long time. I KNEW there was a formula. That I did NOT learn in nail school no just did this on my practice hand I swear I’m about to produce the most fire nails !!!! I’m pretty good at first being self taught and then school and then more practice. But THIS was what I needed. THANKKKKKKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
I don’t know if you’ll ever read this , but sis I’m 20 year old I’m new to Acrylic ,I got so discourage because I always had clumps and the bead turning hard . But this video help me a lot , compare to all this video I watch and their method was hard to understand but you’ve help me alot I order mine and it help me .I was praying and asking God and I so bless to come across your method .much love and support❤❤❤❤❤😊
Yess thank you so much for sharing that. I’m glad it helped you and that you’ll keep at it. That’s a win! The fact that you kept searching and trying shows that you care. ❤️
I had to post a comment. I tried this method and it worked. I tried 6 different acrylic powders by different companies and thus method worked everytime. I was starting to feel a little discouraged because I could never get my ratios right but this has changed the game for me. Thank you so much for coming up with this method and posting it! ❤
I have to try this the next time I do my or my mom nails love u and thanks so much for your help ps lol I forgot to tell u this is pidorrian I change my name but hopefully u remember me love u
Hi good afternoon I am in Jamaica and I am just trying to learn how to do my own nails and I really appreciate what you are teaching thank you so much . I am a nurse but thank you so much ❤
Oh my gosh, I could just hug you. Thank you so much! I just started doing nails for myself and my 16 year old daughter. I almost gave up and gave all my supplies away because I just could not figure out how to pick up the right amount of acrylic to make my nails look halfway decent. Thank you again. 😊
That is the best explanation ever. I can definitely remember counts. I am a number person. My biggest issue is knowing how much to lay on the nail. I know the thickness is that of a credit card but how do you know if you have the entire nail covered? I think its covered and then go to polish and see that I missed some areas.
Hi ciela, definitely going to try this tomorrow. I still struggle at times with my beads. That’s a much easier way to understand. Thank you beautiful. 💕
I’ve been struggling with my powder to liquid ratio and this is the best way I’ve seen it explained thus far so I really appreciate you taking the time out to do this for us! God bless you!
Thank you so much. Honestly, for me too. Sometimes I develop bad habits with my application and then I have to work harder. It happens. I appreciate you watching ❤️ I hope it helps 🙌🏼
That method does work but I am wondering with the practice mats you get the small bead using this method even just fits the practice mats large round circle
I’m not sure what you mean. This method is to help guide you on picking up different size beads. When you are actually doing nails you would pick up the size you need based on the length of the nail and any areas that need filling 🩷
That's what I was saying that your guide is amazing however what we think is a small bead to the mat it's too much liquid still but like you said it's a guide and us as newbies can tweek to our needs and like you said length
I started with full coverage tips and just gel polish to get familiar with nails. I have been trying acrylics for 2 weeks now (2 sets on myself) and I am having such a time trying to get the ratio down. This has helped me so much! I am for sure a repetitive numbers person. Thank you!!!!!
Yes girl! 😍 thank you so much.. I hope this blows up. This totally clicked and I didn’t have to keep reversing the video you explained so well. I’ve been hesitant starting acrylics but this is the best explanation on how to grab a bead. Thank you. My first acrylic video I’m going to shout you out because I’m using this technique. 💖✨✌🏼
Thank you for this content. I’m home trained and just looking to do my own nails. This just made so much sense to me. I’ve watched countless videos on acrylic beads and application and failed to produce a good product. Question: where did you get the dappen dish?
Yes this is helpful! Can you also make a video on the time between picking up a bead and placing it. Seems to be a method there too. Like I usually look for the vead to smooth out some... but I think there's a few seconds that seem to be best for placing it.
#jammylitasnails with this method if you practice enough will I notice the difference in weight in my brush so that I can then physically feel if I have enough liquid to get the size bead I'm trying to make. I have really learnt alot from your videos and I really appreciate your help ❤️
Thank you so much, my struggle is beyond limit, it's either my bit is too wet or it trys up quick when am busy trying to clean the brush, but this looks promising, I will definitely try it
I've lost track of how many times I've shared this. It is so incredibly helpful for people new to all of this. I don't have to try to explain it anymore, you put it in video! Thank you!!
Thanku for this video Jammy, I believe I told you before a Lil about myself & how I'm learning all over again & Starting School Soon, I had my license in early 80s😲But my life went in a different direction, I Love doing Nails, and Love that I can watch videos like this! I watch my 5 yr old grandson who has Downsyndrome & is Autistic Full time, he's Adorable! And keeps me busy for Sure, So my Nail life gets pushed to the side alot but that's ok, I'm not giving up this time, I know this is what I want to do, Sorry, I'm a Rambler!😁Just wanna say Thanku & I appreciate you!💕GodBless💕
Believe on Christ to be saved. Ephesians 2.8-9. "For by grace are ye saved through faith. Not of yourselves, It is the gift of God. Not of works lest any man boast."
I Thank God for you I almost gave up, but I love it sooo much, thanks for great explanation. And I’m better with numbers. Your brush is gorgeous, but when me and my friends order from top brands like Mia secrets, KS, JC Beauty now these companies shocked me… what I received looks nothing like the you tubers maybe I need a RU-vid channel and put on blast
Love this thank you . Love that brush and even the dish . I started doing my own acrylic nails in august think I’m going to do my first person this month
This is very helpful. Iv learned alot from your channel. Do you do online nail courses? Or is there one you can recommend. It doesnt matter how well i can do nails i would still need to certificate in order to get licensed. I live in the Caribbean. Hi Jammy!😊
That looks like the very easiest way to pick up a pearl of acrylic. And I am going to need it because in Puerto Rico they don't like gel nails that much they love acrylic. Thank you so much
This is wayyyy easier than the YN way. I don't have to gauge the pressure of the brush against the dab dish. Thanks for making this. I like this method much better
I have to try! If this works for me I'm going to be speechless which is hard lol. I hope this work because this is why I stop doing acrylic and went to dip I couldn't get the liquid to powder ratio right!!
I've never seen anyone explain liquid to powder ratio the you did and I find it so much easier to understand. I'm definitely going to be trying this and I will let you know how it worked out for me.
This is not for beginners. What solution and powder do you use? Also the numbers are very confusing for a beginner this is more for people that already have experience.
