Oh yeah you got some Holo Taco!! Looks great!! 😍❤️ I’ve been following Simply and Beyyyyn since she had about 10k followers, and it’s wonderful to have seen them two grow and gain more self confidence. I also listen to their podcast (Simplypodlogical) and they’re just intelligent, sweet, good people with strong morals. 😊 They’ve done so much better, than all the other garbage people who became wealthy from YT. If you’re interested in dipping your toe in Pomp, then I highly recommend the ep with Beyyyn’s brother Matt; the Ph.D mathematician. 👍 HP was a big part of my younger years, and I still have fond memories. I will say when it comes to the movies; as an adult I can only watch from Prisoner of Azkaban onwards. Goblet Of Fire if you’re around 11-14 I guess. Half Blood Prince and the two Deathly Hallows is where I get down. Of course I only watch in a way where JKR doesn’t earn a dime from me.

I had the same thoughts on the Harry Potter movies. I watched the 2nd and said eff them. YEARS later (I think the last movie was already out) I had a friend convince me that the later movies are SO much better. To which I very much agree!! Totally worth watching them I swear! I finally was able to watch them as a movie, and not compare the shit out of them lol

It's freaking badass that you decided to teach yourself a skill like this, it really isn't easy. I worked at a nail salon for about a week in my 20s and me and my twitchy hands were a nervous wreck the entire time. Much respect for all of the experts out there! I'm interested to hear your thoughts on the HP movies. I can appreciate the first one for it's visual adaptation of the world and costumes, and I did love the casting for some of the adult roles, but I personally always felt it was actually *too* faithful in that if you'd read the book you just didn't need to see it. The others, just. Meh. Never gonna get over that Chupacabra werechihuahua, either.

I chose not to use gels because of the UV exposure, but after more reading, I might be okay using the LED lamps... I might have to give them a shot at some point

I'm a licensed nail tech! Supernail is extremely low quality & I refuse to touch that stuff. It's super super toxic & not sure why they still sell that stuff. Check out CND products or Organic Nail Products. Organic Nail is what I mainly use. The smell of monomer isn't supposed to be that way. OPI & Bioelements is good for gel sculpting as well as CND. I would stay away from cheaper monomers & polymers as they're highly toxic & can erode your nails/more susceptible to causing fungus growth. Yes! Supernail, Young Nail & other cheaper brands cultivate a high fungus/bacteria growth rate. Please dont use that stuff anymore!! 🥺

I'm literally the surprised pikachu right now. The supernail powder I got at my local beauty supply store without knowing anything about it first, but I bought the Mia Secret liquid after reading so many great reviews on it 😭 I can't seem to find the CND products easily but the Organic Nail is from this website I imagine? organicnailsusa.com Are you telling me their monomer doesn't smell like absolute death? If so I'll order some RIGHT NOW hahah 😭 Is it slow drying or fast drying though? I've found I don't like working with fast drying, it sets too quickly for my skill level.

@@pompberry the CND monomer is the best! But the organic nails one doesn't smell nearly like that one! & yeah, it takes a while to learn these things. I know of a few ebay shops that sell legitimate CND products for those who are unlicensed. Same with OPI & Bioelements. These are semi fast drying options. Just prep your nails properly with a light manual nail filing, dehydrator & go on about applying tips, forms or overlay! 😊 the other alternative for colored powders I would recommend are GlamGlitz polymers. Those are super beautiful & work well with other monomers, dehydrators & polymers! 💚

@@pompberry if it's too fast drying, work in very small increments & work in lighter layers. 😊 it was difficult for me at first also. For your 3rd full set, it looks beautiful! A really good thickness & the tips aren't thin. It takes Patience! 💚

If you want all the Harry Potter gonndess with less JK Rowling involvement consider fanfictions. You get to read stuff from fans and aspiring writers and some of the works are even better than the original. Plus it's 100% for the fun of it, no money involved so no cash for the original author.

I get my audiobooks from my local library (digitally) and still have my original books from when they were first released, so I’m not giving her any more money either ☺️
