It was absolutely fascinating watching her face develop! Probably because of the way you layer it felt like I was seeing her come to life before you made it obvious…. Lol! I swear I’m sober 😉 This painting is Stunning & loving the bird ! Who cares what kind, it’s beautiful!!!!😍
Really love the cloudy/atmospheric background style. Also what a task to adjust the eye like that, great work. That’s demonstrative of the dedication and patience required for true craftsmanship of any form of art
Fabulous. I love to watch the process. I want to be able to paint like you. I am 65 and just starting. I think I will achieve something if I watch how to do it. Thank you 💖
Another interesting and beautiful painting. I love to watch as you develop your canvas. You make it look easy but I know that's always the case. ❤ Thank you...and keep them coming 🎉
love your paintings and humour. I would love to see all process in slow motion, each color and brush stroke. Thanks for your generosity. You are very talented and a truly inspiration 👍
There is always so much to learn from your videos. I watch them several times and take notes. I love how you go from a blank canvas to a masterpiece layer by layer. This was a beautiful painting. Would love to see more paintings like this but with collage. Those are my very favorites, when you do collage, texture, mixed media abstract realism portraits. I LOVE them ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
She is beautiful ……….. love the way you layered the paint for skin tones, and the bird looked so easy to do and lovely…… and the background is amazing. So love ❤ what you do…….building up to giving it a try. 🥴🥴😁
Great painting as always, I appreciate all the explanations you provide. My dream is to be able to do a loose soft abstract background as you have done , i even have most of the supplies, now i need the courage to try , and the focal point as well. 😅
Hey there! What a nice surprise having this video pop up😊 interesting to see you paint a portrait without a sketch… Amazing! Your imagination took flight while you were winging the painting of the bird. Sorry bad pun. The feathers are cool. Love it!
I really like your color palette on this one. Thank you for sharing.❤❤❤ Do you mix your black or use out of the tube? If out of tube, do you prefer golden or liquitex for black? I watched this video many times.
Again, beautiful portrait. You make it look so effortless, love watching your process. If you ever want to do a tutorial on using inks, I would love to see that as well. I want to learn how to use inks and play with them, but am unsure where to start. Thanks again for an awesome video and sharing your talents with us! 😍🤩😍
That “winging it” joke made me laugh and then l subscribed at that very moment … so I’m really expecting a lot more puns and “dad” jokes 😂😂😂🎉❤ this painting is EXQUISITE 🤩🤩🤩🤩
Hello Lydia what kind of role do you use? I unfortunately don't understand. I can't find a suitable role. Thank you very much for the great video Beate
You are SO good at explaining what you do and the result it absolutely gorgeous. LOVE it. I do have one little thing and that is regarding your microphone, It sounds like you are blowing into it at the same time you speak. Sorry for saying that.
Nice! I like the abstract/realism combo. I wish you would have shown adjusting the eye so that it was level with the other eye. I have a tendency to discover 'wonkiness' far into the painting and have to fumble around with adjustments 😑
This was helpful. That has been my concern. I'd like to use just acrylics, rather than doing a final layer of oil. At least for some pieces. But I was concerned about losing that sense of depth from the oils.
You are so inspiring. And thank you for the explanations why you are using certain acrylics at what stage. I’m learning so much from just watching you. This portrait is stunning. First time commenting on RU-vid content by the way 😊
Interesting layout. And the eyes are just fine - goodness, many humans in this dimension (off the canvas) have multiple body parts completely askew. Wabi-sabi….accept imperfection.
Thank you! I just got back from Michael’s and I’m going to practice skin tones with the colors you suggested in one of your videos. These are all super helpful. Thank you!
I noticed before you used the golden open acrylics you used like a white for the bridge of the nose, muzzle of the mouth, part of the cheek is that transparent white acrylic or the high flow acrylics? It’s right after you put in the transparent shadows
So very interesting to watch the art. The real time helps me see you creating shapes. Faster speeds make it look impossible. I drew my teenage face with pencil using a mirror for reference. ‘Twas then I noticed my eyes were not symmetrical. I read that stars generally have very symmetrical faces. That pleases the rest of us. Though you probably wouldn’t notice ears are often not symmetrical. You learn that from the technician who fits your glasses to your face. I find this very funny.
I love your paitings! You paint beautiful women, but have you done men aswell? I know most artist love to paint women, but my drawings (just practice, and not good ad all, but with fun) always seam to be male, mostly. And I really would love to see you doing a male portrait. 😁
