Acrylic pouring on wine glass- Dip technique - Dutch pour - Fluid art - #25

In this video, I'm doing an acrylic pour on wine glass by simply dipping them in the paint.
For this pour, I've used Liquitex acrylic colors, system 3 acrylics, and brustro.
Colors- Titanium white, Fluorescent Orange, Fluorescent Pink, Gold & Pyrolle red. All colors have been mixed with just water and paint.

My absolute favorite is to combine techniques where I use chalk paint, acrylic pouring, and resin to create a piece of furniture that is vibrant and unique.

I rather like this idea after trying unsuccessfully to make skins and glue them to the bottom of the glass. Thanks for the inspiration!

Could you use a coaster/ tile ? If so .. what type of tile ?

Beautiful. I bought glasses to do as a gift. Summing up the courage to actually do it lol. How long do you let the paint dry before applying the resin coat?

Hi Diane, thanks for watching. On glass, the acrylic dries pretty fast, so I waited around 10 days to resin but I feel you could do it sooner, maybe even a week. Good luck with yours

Your glasses came out so beautiful! I tried to replicate them but how do I get it to not drip when I finish applying the paint to it?

Hey thanks! I think your paint mix may be a bit thin otherwise it should not drip. Make sure once you dip, the coating is just a layer covering whole surface and you do not repeatedly dip making it too thick a paint coating. In any case, after dipping put the glas upside down and wipe the edges. Good luck

beautiful colors :) Do you brush the resin on? do you use a special brand?

Suz Haynes I just applied it with my gloved hands but yes you could brush it with a silicone brush. I used an epoxy art resin called Epoke as I’m in India which works nicely, but you could use any art resin. Thanks for watching

No as I’ve put a layer of epoxy resin to seal it

Is there any other way to seal besides resin. I read something about an oven curing on a low temp. Does this work?

I’ve no idea in this. Oven curing I would think would be more for clay/ceramics not acrylic paints

Oven cure works! Cold oven, put in glassware on rack Set for 350 degrees (F) Bake 30 minutes Turn off oven Allow oven and glassware to cool 30 minutes
