Acrylic Sunset Forest Painting Tutorial For Beginners 

I'm sure they don't look like crap. A lot of people including myself or very critical of our paintings.

I paint for absolutely no reason at all. I’m not good at it and it frustrates me when I mess up. I guess I kinda wish I was good at it.

I think all mine look like crap. I didn't start getting into painting until I was about 30, also. Joined a meet-group. But I keep going. Don't care how bad they look. You do the same.

mix red and white together to get pink

A mix of yellow and orange should do

Why was this so complicated for me? 😭 I know absolutely NOTHING about painting, so these questions may be silly. I could not get the colors to blend easily. I found a way for it to look okay, but not like this. Is it because of the brand of paint? Brushes? I got a paint set from Amazon that included paint, thin canvases, brushes. Then I have cheap Walmart paint (Apple Barrel). I used a flat looking rectangle brush for the main colors, thin angled brush for the trees. My lines on my trees (reflection) look harsh, the top of the trees look okay-ish, and the main color lines are sorta harsh in spots, plus sucky blending. It took almost 2 hours. I aim for perfection, and I know my first time painting will not be no where near perfect, but it's aggravating me because I don't know how to do this correctly orcwhere i messed up. Can anyone please give me tips or tell me what I did wrong? Thanksss!😭😭😭

Hello, haven't used any retarder, sometimes you can add a little bit of water in your acrylic paint, mixing well and then using it first, at least for the first "layer". You can also try to use more paint as one reason could be that you put less in first place, this happens to me sometimes and I just quickly add more paint and continue the paintings. Hope this helps. Saaram Chaudhry when that happens to me, I usually dip my brush into water before picking up the paint 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ works for me
