Thank you! It's a difficult question. For me it is an emotional, intuitive decision. A feeling that tells me; it is finished. I look at the composition, the color scheme, the effect on my mind. Does it exude completeness? Is it right for me? And if all of that is correct, then it's done. At least for now. But it can also happen that the next time I look at it, it seems unfinished again... Insert something here, add something there... And so you can work on a painting for ages. Until you feel ea is PERFECT. And sometimes you realize that you have painted on it too often and too much. Ultimately, the completion depends on the artist's creative vision and individual style.
