mine too. i was always following the instructions, until i actually tried what haopened when you clicked the stones after akara encrypted the scroll for you. i think on one playthrough i actually clicked the stones in the right order without even looking at the scroll. xD

@@Kagezava Wirt is a peg-legged boy from the first game. He sold higher end magic items than Griswold (the blacksmith,) allegedly, but only sold one item at a time and would charge you 50 gold just to see what it was. Particularly in the base game this could be nearly worthless, especially with how the game assigned value to magic affixes, meaning late game you could be stuck with him re-rolling the same useless junk over and over. When you add to all of that the fact that his dialogue makes him come across as a snot-nosed little shit who thinks he's better than everyone, pretty much no one shed too many tears on finding his corpse in Diablo 2.
@@RamadaArtistFirst off, I think Kagezava was joking. Second, Wirt wasn't all that bad. The chances of him rolling the same item twice in a row were miniscule, so if you saw it often it sounds like you were visiting him repeatedly before he had rerolled the item.
@@madsdahl6505 No, I'm talking specifically about how the loot tables work in D1. It's been a while since I've read Jarulf's guide, but from what I remember, for a given character level you could spawn items within a certain item level range, item level takes into account the value of the base item, plus the value of the affixes. This meant "better" base items could end up being worse as magical items, because you don't have enough leftover value from the base item to put good affixes on it, while still staying in the item level range available to your character. This meant you could screw up your available drops if you level up too much. If I want, say, a Jade Short War Bow of the Heavens, there's only like, three clvls of wiggle room to get it to drop, and it'll only drop from certain enemies in the caves in hell difficulty, so you have to keep rerolling your game until they show up. The problem with leveling up too much though, is that short war bows will stop dropping, so you can only get a long war bow, and the best possible version of that would be a Jade Long War Bow of the Stars, which is a worse suffix than "of the Heavens." (I'm sure I'm getting the details wrong, but this is roughly how it works.) The problem with Wirt is that he has a limited base item inventory, and I believe he adds like, "virtual clvls," to push up the item level range, but the problem is that this often pushes it into brackets where there simply aren't a lot of affix options for the end game gear. Full Plate of the Whale comes up a lot because it ends up being the most common armor type for him to select at endgame levels, and full plate has really limited affix options. I'm pretty sure he can also roll items that are more expensive than the amount of gold you can hold in your inventory, though that's mostly a problem with Giswold in the Hellfire expansion. I'm sure I've got all sorts of details wrong, it's all based on extremely technical background game mechanics that I read about like a decade ago, but the point is that late game Wirt has really inconvenient loot tables and you're almost never going to roll something actually useful in hell difficulty, compared to what you'll be getting in drops. Hellfire kind of addresses because it forces Griswold's inventory to populate with items that are an item level or two above what you're carrying, so he always has good options, it's much easier to find rare affix combinations, and by extension Wirt becomes almost entirely worthless.

The certificate costs $50 to obtain in paper form. In addition, the company will charge you $8 per month by default unless you opt out in very small type that's easily missed. Many youtubers are retracting sponsorship and issuing apologies.
Nice touch making Andariel blue to match her color when you fight her on Nightmare. Act V on Nightmare should be an interesting compilation, given how all the enemies are randomized from different acts on Nightmare and Hell.
I remember that when I went from normal to nightmare I don't feel like it was very difficult, but when I went from nightmare to hell I literally couldn't kill anyone, everyone has resistance to something, and then enemies immune to physical blows appeared and I got stuck
Same for me. I played a sorc once to Act 1 Hell difficulty. I used ice as primary and fire as secondary. I literally dominated nightmare without issues. Then I started hell, encountered zombies that were immune to fire and ice and just quit...
Single player is even more difficult, my barb got stuck in NM Act1, can’t even beat Blood Raven because no decent weapon. Now my single player lvl75 Amazon finally can kill some monsters in Hell Act1 because I found an okay exceptional rare bow after so much time in NM, and I used Um, Fal and P sapphire to upgrade it into elite version.
I will always remember my first playthrough. When i got to nightmare andy, i just hit lvl 31 and grabbed fire golem. Was hilarious to watch it run from center room into andy throne room, explode, rinse and repeat 5 times. She was a goner
I love how much attention to detail there is in these cartoons. Even just the small fact that barb starts using Leap in act 1, but doesnt start using whirlwind until act 4 (in the later episode), cause it's obviously unlocked at a much higher level. Just small things like that.
So true, I often go to these free server just to watch players fight over stuff but at times I pick up something he drops that catches my eye only because they drop it in front of me, but over all entertaining to watch.

the 5:20 situation... after over 20 years i had this again yesterday in baalrun, when first wave drop grand charm. inventory and cube full so i had to hold it till 5th wave was done and everyone left, just to see a 1-2 lightning dmg outcome :D every single bit of those videos are bringing memories, and are sooo accurate :D

A shame that the sponsor is a known scam. Scottish law explicitly prevents the sale of these type of souvenir plots, and owning land in Scotland does NOT grant you the title of Lord, Lady, or any other titles. Only one time I managed to tap each of the stones once in order without messing it up, without looking at the scroll. Was the best achievement in the game :)
@Jmt1000 no you dont, you pick the scroll from the tree, go to Akara, she will unlock the scroll for you, but you dont have to interact with it at all after that, just go to stones and enjoy your mini game :)
