This month I asked Christian men of different ages and ethnicities to tell me what they think it means to act like a man, and to describe to me what biblical masculinity looks like.
WHO AM I?
My name is Timothy Burda and I am a career missionary with SEND International. I am currently raising support and I plan to move to Japan by Fall of 2021. My goal is to use this channel as a platform for sharing the gospel and encouraging people in their walk with the Lord.

PREACH: “It takes a real man to admit when things aren’t okay.” This is invaluable! To lead through the uncertainty and unknown, though the weight of emotions and tensions especially when they’re running high...it takes unwavering reliance on the grace and love of God to really do this well but then also to be able to admit when it doesn’t. Great topic!

It took me awhile to have Christ change my perceptions about this. I never wanted people to see me cry, and I never wanted to express vulnerability. I agree with what someone said, that not being able to do this is a sign of fear and weakness. I'm glad that my heart is much softer now and that God has given me the strength to express my emotions freely.
