I just looked at the map… Kharkiv is just near belgorod region of russia which is constantly being attacked by ukraine. If ukraine had not attacked belgorod then the war would be limited to donbas donetsk area as it was the main goal but since Ukraine attacked belgorod russia now is attacking kharkiv to make a buffer zone so that future drone attacks on belgorod wont happen…
