Yeah with the preparation, she even literally said in an interview about the Eras Tour that she wanted to be so over-rehearsed so she could interact with the audience, she's always such a professional
Hold out, dude…you’re worth it! You’re not alone in your loneliness. Side note, the female dancer had just become the first black prima ballerina in USA (or at least for that matter in that NY troupe). This was Taylor’s way of helping elevate that recognition.
Her name is Misty Copeland. And she is a phenomenal ballerina. I love that Taylor chose to use her performance on the AMA's to highlight Misty and her art.
@@stepanova8 We are sosososo proud of Misty! She has a generous heart. I wish I could say we studied in the same ballet studio (generations apart) but she studied in Torrance and I studied in San Pedro. She is perfection with kindness and beauty!
Excellent reaction. You hit the nail on the head when you said Taylor connects with her audience in a special way. She loves her fans fiercely and consistently credits them for her success. There was a lot of controversy with this performance as the masters for her first 6 albums had just been sold away from her and there was question whether she would be able to even perform her own music, but the Swifties made such a stink that an allowance was made by the people who purchased the masters (there's a lot more to it but this is the Cliff's Notes version). Taylor's inner circle of friends does, in fact, include Selena Gomez, who was sitting there front and center with her parents. The "squad" you likely heard about in the past was pre-Reputation era and the whole Kimye thing (you'd have to research it because I am not giving them any more of my time and effort). Many of her so-called friends deserted her, but the ones who stayed are fiercely loyal to her and vice versa. Halsey and Camilla are an example of how Taylor likes to lift up younger female artists (even though she is always accused of not being a girls-girl). I wouldn't say they're part of her inner circle, but more of a mentor-mentee relationship. The tilting back to her left while belting a high note is literally a signature move for her. She's been doing it since the early days so I don't think she will stop anytime soon LOL There is more of a significance to the dancers than you may realize. Misty Copeland, the female dancer, made history as the first black Prima Ballerina for the American Ballet Theater. It's another example of how Taylor likes to uplift other extraordinary women, even when it's her "party" and she's the one being honored.
Thanks for putting in your 200 % on this reaction. RU-vid in a way is a performance of being committed to whatever you are reacting to. May not be your type of music, movie or whatever but I felt your commitment to Taylor and honest reaction and personal connection you found. I just wanted to say thanks for that vulnerable moment at the end. Look forward to seeing more videos of yours. I think you would like her music videos. She really embodies her music and plays it out either to the crowd or camera. Her eyes say it all.
Wow!! Ok I really appreciate your reaction. So when you said you realized you were getting Pumped up....this performance, one of my favorites is like the appetizers to the main course (The Eras Tour). Imagine how you felt and then multiply that by 1000. That is my own experience seeing The Eras Tour Last August. No joke, I could not sleep for about 3 days after the show, maybe overstimlated or something. But that was my own experience. I also appreciate what you shared at the end, about the The Lover performance. (Misty Copeland) was one of the dancers. It was interesting to hear your reaction on how the dancers are what got to you. Thank your being open and vulnerable, and I think sharing your story was very generous. I think it might connect with others who might going through challenging relationships and life in general. Much appreciation!!! And I will be coming to your patreon to support!!
If you watch the Reputation Tour, she had her openers (Camilla Cabello and Charlie XCX) come back out for the Shake It Off performance; the reason she used them in this performance was an ongoing dispute with Big Machine (former label) over her performing the music live for streaming/broadcast; they tried to copyright block her from using her own music because the performance was being recorded. They also wanted to block her using tour footage from the Reputation Tour from her documentary. It was part of the acrimony over her attempts to purchase her masters from Big Machine, both under Scott Borchetta and later, Scooter Braun. Which, in turn, pissed her off enough to fund re-recording her entire catalog. Anyway, Halsey and Camilla were going to sing the older songs, and Taylor was only going to sing the songs from her Lover album that released that year on her new label. Eventually, Big Machine backed down on it, and stopped trying to block her from performing the older songs. Since they'd committed to help her out, she brought them out for this, sort of a reprise of the Rep Tour version.
This the first video i watched of your channel. I appreciate so much what you shared about being alone. Thank you for your vulnerability. You should listen sweet nothings from taylor. Not for reaction maybe but to ease the feelings you shared.
I love this video... The mini eras! She is an incredible performer... She is meticulous in her preparation and all the choreography, sets etc are her vision. She's an incredible director too.. She does all her own music videos now. You need to see the video for the new song "l can do it with a broken heart" which will show you just how good she is. As an aside Taylor has often made fun of her lack of dancing ability... She's got better over the years... The video for "Shake it off" encapsulates this.. She loves to laugh at herself 😊
I've seen a lot of Taylor's Reactions and a lot of them get to the point like You at this last song.......( the TAYLOR'S EFFECT) Her music and performance makes those awesome LYRICS so captivating that easily relates to You , making your mind travels to situations You had experienced before. That's the WHY people don't understand cause they don't know what She has been saying FOR ALMOST 2 DECADES ! And when You get to her deep songs...... ( not the radio hits ).....You will discover Her golden ❤ and simultaneously, You will discover hidden places in Your ❤ too !!!!!!!
She’s always said she wants to know her choreography so well that she can genuinely interact w her fans and not have to think about her place in the choreography.
They were phenomenal. Perfect for the music. Your opening up at the end was quite special. I saw something that changed in you when you were watching that. This explains what I saw. You ARE enough. It’ll happen. 🌻
I came across your video as a Swiftie - then I listened how beautifully you put words to a lot of the things and ways I feel. I've been perpetually single now for well over a decade and often feel they way you described it - lonely but not wanting to search or force anything. I too would like to find someone that could be at my side to celebrate my highs, and accept my downs as well, without judgements. I hope you find that person whenever you're ready
Taylor Swifts ability to connect to, not only her fan base, but also to anyone who ever gets to see her perform live. She is the most successful musical artist of our generation, is the ONLY musical artist to have become a BILLIONAIRE based solely on her MUSIC. Yet, she makes people feel like they could legit be her best friend. She has never hid the fact that there’s a major part of she that craves and needs the affirmation from her fans…. But, maybe it’s her self awareness, but she never makes u think that she would ever think she’s “too good” or “too big” to hang with u. Artists like Beyoncé want to be seen as an unworldly being and one who is above us plebs. This is what sets her (Taylor) apart.
I appreciate the different perspectives you offer from the theater point of view, they are awesome. I also appreciate what you shared about your thoughts on relationships. I had a very similar response when I was asked a year or two ago. That word Safe, safe to be who you are, what you feel, what you want and need. much love!
Taylor has mentioned that she likes to be so prepared she can do the shows without thinking about them so she has the ability to focus on connecting with the audience and being present
If you’d like to see a fantastic live performance by Taylor, check out the Reputation Tour performance of Don’t Blame Me. 😊 Ready For It and I Did Sonething Bad from Rep Tour are also great.
omg i guess you would love her other performances of "i knew you were trouble" !!!! i definetely recommend her BRITs one!!! it has change costume and a lot of acting too
Also if you liked the intensity of I knew you were trouble. There is a live performance of this song with a crazy opening arrangement from her 1989 tour that you would really like. If you want to see some crazy acting live, her live performance for "tollerate it" from the Eras tour is so good
There is a faction of 'I know you like this move so I do it' in her postures and moves. Her consciousness winks out of the performance, which means that she is absolutely aware of all details of her performance, to the level that she is partly an observer of her own performance.
Yeah this is NOTHING compared to the Eras tour. She has grown sooooo much even from here and she comes up with and directs all this herself now which is INSANE !!!
Great reaction, and I’m sure we all appreciate the vulnerability as you were reacting to Lover. Really looking forward to your Eras Tour reaction, especially to the “Tolerate it” production. For that matter, maybe you could do a reaction to the newly added The Tortured Poets Department set.
I also really love when dance is incorporated *well* into song performances. I'm new to your channel, so you may very well have already reacted to it or seen it in your own time, but if you haven't--"Work Song" by Hozier. The song, itself, is one of my top love songs. The lyrics make me long for that Bridgerton kind of love lol. The video is absolutely breathtaking! I think you'd really appreciate it, even just for yourself. I promise you are not alone in your feelings, but I'm sorry that you have those thoughts and feelings, too. Thanks for your genuine reaction and vulnerability!
Taylor speaks for those of us with insecurities and lonliness and doubt (see her song Doubt, with Mary J. Blige, live in LA). She puts into words that we are unable to articulate, the feelings and thoughts we all have. She'll make you feel a part of the community of humans and their minds and thoughts. Her lyrics are for you. You haven't touched a small part of her discography. And, yes. She got the memo. She no longer tilts back for the belts. She supports her core.
31:00 Part of Taylor's lyrics to the song New Year's Day: "You squeeze my hand three times in the back of the taxi I can tell that it's gonna be a long road I'll be there if you're the toast of the town, babe Or if you strike out and you're crawling home"
Life is a struggle in general. You will meet someone that will be your friend at first. Hopefully, not a lust thing. My husband and I have been married for 20 years. And, I honestly didn't see him as a boyfriend. But, he was my friend. And turned out to be my best friend. I could talk to him about anything. And he didn't judge me. Later on we knew that we really enjoyed each other's company. We loved each other. Yes, our relationship had some problems. We had trust issues because of past relationships. And that is completely understandable. But, if there is someone in your life that is there for you. That is a blessing. Just please remember.... No one is perfect.
I'm not really into her music, but I've seen a few videos of her, in a concert setting and a lo-key setting. I'm impressed with her musically and how down to earth she seemed. She actually plays guitar well too. Her stage presence for the music she does is very PINK like. Meaning it's a good thing just in case you're not a PINK fan. I do find it interesting how she, above all the musicians out there is the number 1 main stream artist. And that's no mock on her. It's a mock on main stream not recognizing all the extremely talented musicians out there. The business has changed in many ways over the last 50 years, but one thing stays constant. If you got the backing you will go far. If your the most talented ever you very well may not get to this high level.
hey mate. great reaction, great analysis. what i truly want to comment on though is your statements at the end about yourself and being lonely.. i admire you so much for talking about this in this video and leaving it in the youtube video cut. i know exactly how you feel. it's ok to not be ok. i really admire you for talking about your own emotions in a public forum. especially as a male. i respect it so much. i feel the same as you and probably haven't vocalised it to anyone. that person is out there - because believe it or not, there's a lot of people struggling. part of "love" i guess, is helping each other handle the tough times.. while also enjoying the good you have together. just wanted to say a massive thank you for that part of the video and i hope you find who and what you need to feel loved, accepted and lessen the burdens of life.
The words are album titles she's having to re-record. Her former label head Scott Borechetta sold her master to 6 albums (Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989, and Reputation) to Scooter Braun. Thus far she's re-released (Fearless, Red, Speak Now and 1989). Hoping to get Reputation and the self-titled debut after the Eras tour ends in December.
Obviously so much attention paid to Taylor Swift in present. Do not doubt that she’s a great writer and music ‘performer’. I remember her start and initial raw appearance at Grammies. She’s a global phenomenon😊. Happy for her. IMO however there’s a load of capturing the convenient. Get she’s absolutely loved. Soz if critical but look forward to maturation. Don’t represent yourself in any questionable character when you have the talent to utterly override. 😊❤️
The swifties love a vulnerable king 👑 Great reaction and commentary 🌟 I was going to advise you to react to the All Too Well 10 minute LYRIC video before tackling the short film but I see I was too late 😂 The temptation was going to be big and you were likely going to succomb anyway but the lyric video delivers such an emotional punch. Revisit it on your own, for yourself. It's so good.
Yoju can select individual songs from the tours, but I recomment the Long Pond Studio Session or the Lover small show at the Paris Olympia or her tiny desk concert with a small audience. You cannot make a mistake with TS no matter what you pick. It might be sensible to react to TS songs which have few reactions. But it is up to you .
27:27 So, as someone who experienced significant emotional trauma in my personal life, my “coping” mechanism is to put those “traumas” in a box and stored in the furthest depths of my psyche. I am very careful to what I watch, etc because I know that if the box ever just is nudged the tiniest bit and a crack opens up, it can cause me to break as a human. I remember going to watch “A Star is Born” and while I knew it had been made before in different decades, I had zero clue as to the storyline. When I realized how that movie was headed and as everyone in the movie theater were boo-hooing, I was PISSED. I never would have went to see that movie. So, I get it can suck to be taken unawares emotionally.
You are not a punk; you are a human looking for a real (not superficial) connection with another. That is completely normal. I found that connection with my husband when I decided to stop looking for it. It think it's best when it happens naturally. I hope you find what you are looking for when you are ready to have it.
I have. There is an analysis of the 10 minute short film here on my channel. If you go to my channel and then click on “playlists” you can find “Taylor Reactions
I admire your honesty and wish you find the one who will uunderstand and love you. . It really was a beautiful presentation of Lover with the dancers ,The sound of the strings made it more poignant .
Girl Squad: In the period 2013 to about 2015, Taylor tried to take a break from the slut shaming she got from the media, and started hanging out with women instead; she did a couple of Victoria's Secret Shows, and her friend list was a who's who of young actresses, singers, and top female models. If you watch the Bad Blood video, you'll see a lot of them (and some other acquaintances). She'd been thoroughly stalked by paparazzi during her time dating Styles (of 1Direction) before she started a relationship with Calvin Harris in 2015. Being single didn't help; she was fighting an eating disorder, and was being body shamed instead of slut shamed. Anything for clicks --- watch her documentary.
You would not need to do a reaction to the whole Eras tour movie. (But I do strongly suggest watching it for your own enjoyment.) There is at least one Eras Tour movie performance that you certainly should react to: "Tolerate It" has been removed from the live Eras Tour, but is still in the movie and is iconic. (And is a fantastic example of her acting skills.) This post is entitled “Official Music Video” but that is misleading. There is no official video for this song. But for now, at least, it is a way to watch the performance: Taylor Swift - tolerate it (The Eras Tour Movie) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hEGVGSv1O20.html Also: Her new TTPD set on the tour is fun, but at this point it is just fan cams.
Hey please don't get upset with me ANGELICA HALE say she is a big fan of Taylor Swift so maybe they won't mind if I make a request A major movie company ask her to do a movie title theme I think they wanted ANGELICA to do a movie title theme and background vocals..ANGELICA HALE did SKYFALL..I believe this is only going to part of her portfolio since she sign to leave soon for NYC to start rehearsals for her staring role in a new Broadway Musical when you hear SKYFALL by ANGELICA you will understand why Broadway producers are trying to get her for their shows see below for link to view video of ANGELICA HALE doing SKYFALL *ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-M131LkcZi38.htmlsi=sJvTz5CDFCfNlfUP* Angelica Hale performing SKYFALL just a quick moment is all it takes to show her absolutely amazing beautiful voice
