Some people don't want to "betray" their friends even if their love interest is not even into said friend... so it turns out that nobody wins. One thing I particularly like about that last one, is how Shayne and Arasha seem like they're in some sort of gangster movie. The tension is palpabable, it feels like it could break into a a gunfight at any moment. Then Noah is just a confused and sad teenage girl, upset by the fact that her friends from the Italian Mob are fighting each other.
