I love Action Arcade Wrestling. I bought it for both Switch AND PS4. Getting XP points and leveling up is a classic way to gain more wrestlers and such.

Yea I thought it was cool, though I did find that I ended up downloading loads of random player created ones and didn't really touch the in game ones much.

Yea I think I only leveled up once and the fact I completely forgot to mention it in the review shows how much I noticed it, but it's great that the game has the option for player created content and I really think more games need to implement this functionality.

Bought it and was slightly disappointed that you couldn't create a wrestler right there on the Switch, though if it's that easy to do on PC, I could get past that easily. The missing career mode is sadly a big deal for me though, as these kinds of modes are pretty much the only thing that can get me into any sports game. Just playing matches won't do for me. So I must say that I am mildly disappointed by the game in general, though considering the very low price and the theoretical possibility to have almost any character join the fray, sure make it difficult to regret the purchase. I still hope that they'll add a career mode at some point, but it seems like a fun game to have on your Switch for when you need a quick wrestle either way.

Yea, it would be great if they could introduce a simpler version of the creator into the switch version, I like how you can add all your own textures and props though. I think a career mode would probably be the biggest addition though, it would add a lot to the single player experience and might make the standard wrestlers feel a little less generic.

Used this game to try and recreate the AKI WCW games from the N64. If only it had a cage it would do nicely for an old school arcade wrestler.

I have already spent a lot of time downloading wrestlers and then watching CPU matches. Watching The Rock vs. Steve Austin but also Storm from X Men vs Spider-Gwen is actually really entertaining.

Lol I did that for a few of the clips here, it's good though I did find at times the CPU just stood there waiting for their opponent to stand up lol

Ohh good it has simulated matches? Me and my friend Joe used to bet money on CPU vs CPU matches in WCW Revenge and WWF No Mercy. I miss those days.

Yea I don't really know much about the game or how much is still being developed on it, but a career mode would be a good addition.

This game is great but I do have two problems with it. First being that you can't release pins whenever you want or at least I haven't figured out how yet. And second is that some created content can't be downloaded as it will crash the game (godzilla, Spawn, funky kong).

Yea there are a few things I noticed, like no accessibility options to turn on markers and other bits, I didn't have any of the characters crash my game though thankfully. That spawn character looked great though.

Everytime I try and use a table it crashes. Still have fun with it. But that sucks

Looks like it is good fun. Beats all the asset flips and the like. I always like a good wrestling game. Loved your logo on the wrestling mat as well! Nice touch

Yea this one would be fun to play with friends and definatley beats asset flips lol. I thought it was cool that you could just add your own textures and instantly have them in your game.

Tbh I don't know, I already have NSO and the e-shop listings aren't the most accurate, but my guess would be no since there is no online gameplay and the hosting for the files won't be down to Nintendo

Yea I don't mind it, it's a different style of wrestling game but you can play with wrestlers which don't have those abilities for a more traditional feel.

So I guess you use the customization software on steam, upload it, then you can use like a Nintendo Switch version to search it in their system and DL it? Am I getting this right?

Yea, exactly that. You just search for whatever you named it and it appears more or less instantly after being uploaded.

How are people making non-human shaped wresters? Does the customizer let you import 3D models?

I only played about with creating a normal-ish looking wrestler, but its got a load of different features so possibly. You can import your own textures and from what I've seen when creating accessories you can import your own, like Kitanas fans.

Yea I'd say Wrestling Empire has been my favorite so far, Retromania is also decent but not quite as good.

3:45 Oof, the way the partners in the corners are just standing there motionless, staring into space, is really cheap-looking. They couldn't even put in a basic pounding-on-the-ropes animation or at least have their heads turn to follow the action? Anyway, I think I'll stick with Wrestling Empire. It's jank, but it's *glorious* jank.

Yea, there's one point in my video where kane interacts with Jake I think, where he doesn't tag him in lol. I would say Wrestling Empire is still the better option of the two though.

im pretty sure the reason why hell in a cell and tlc don't make an appearance is because those match types belong to WWE, and since the creators of AAW don't have the rights to use those match types, they will not appear in AAW.

I can't really see them being allowed to copyright or whatever the equivalent is for match types, possibly the specific title of them, but what's to stop them doing the same for tag team or royal rumble?

I'm pretty sure the WWE can't stop someone from including chairs or ladders in a game. It would just have to be called something else.

My thoughts exactly, the name TLC may have been kind of copyrighted but it doesn't stop you using them, the game does have chairs and tables, just not the game type lol

@@SwitchStars A good example of how to get around this is the MMA cage in Fire Pro Wrestling. The UFC trademarked "the Octagon" and so Spike just made their cage twelve-sided; problem solved.

If you really want an amazing wrestling game with true creator functionality and community, just play wwe 2k22 on your mobile. That’s what I do. Costs more but so much better

I think intros were one of the funniest things about Smackdown, seeing your horrendous creations hobble down to the ring was hilarious 😂 I agree this game needs them

That's a low bar, wrestling empire is awful. One of the worst games I've ever played. I'm extremely disappointed in it, even with my lowered indie game standards.

this doesn't look that good as it looks like a combination with the wackiness special powers of WWE 2k Battlegrounds with the graphics & wackiness of Wrestling Empire
