So who knew the Tandy 1000 supported THAT video mode?? :o
Today on Ancient DOS Games, Gemini's finally taking a proper look back at Action Fighter, notably the once-thought "lost" Tandy-compatible release of the game, originally developed for arcades and the Master System by Sega but then ported to various computers by Core Design and published through Firebird Software in 1989.
The funny thing about this game is it's basically what you get if you merge Spy Hunter with Xevious... and also make the level designs incredibly uninspired and far too long for their own good. I mean, the game's not bad, but taking a critical look back at it so many years later it's very, VERY average.

Additional Information and Corrections:
* I'm about 99% certain the keyboard issues I was having were due to the specific download I found, but then, the Tandy 1000 series of computers DID use a slightly different keyboard to the IBM standard layout, so maybe that's to blame...? I would've thought DOSBox would compensate for that...? If anyone has any ideas based on the wacky keys I listed which SHOULD have been arrow keys let me know. :P
