I have been thoroughly convinced to buy the game.

15:41 well when making a game you only relly have 2 choices, either you refine alredy existing mechanics to a shine in a consistent package, or you try to make something unique, neither approach is better or worse, they are just paths a developer team may choose to take.

Adding this to my Steam Wishlist. DEFINITELY give Gravity Circuit a shot. Game's OST was so good I bought it off the composer's bandcamp.

Glad you enjoyed your time with the game, I echoed some of your sentiments (namely how infuriating the lack of a Retry button is) but I honestly just couldn't vibe with it as much, mainly because of how Ranks are handled. Like you said, dashing through the level and trying to keep your combo up is super fun, but it's ultimately pointless when only your highest combo matters, so you can just go to town in an ambush room and be all set. Plus, the fact that using the lightning finisher in Berserk Form is objectively worse for your combo than just dashing the enemy to death just makes the whole mechanic, and the score system as a whole, feel pointless and unplaytested. It feels like they just threw together mechanics from a bunch of similar games without understanding what makes any of them work, rather than refining them. On the other hand, I CANNOT recommend Gravity CIrcuit ENOUGH. It's legitimately up there with the best of Gunvolt and Mega Man, it's so much damn fun.

You should at least try the demo of Virtua Unlimited Project. It's a new game made by someone known for excellent Zero/ZX fangames.

I was going to skip this one, as I have a lot of megaman-likes to get through right now, but it looks like it takes all of my favorite parts of ZX and distills them.

What game was that at 17:20? It looks like Kingdom Queen or whatever, the GameCube monster game
