At timecode **23:51**, I show you how to save your actions set. (This is different than saving your file. Actions are saved as their own type of file .aia). You can do this any time after you create the first action in your set and then keep resaving over it along the way. This is necessary because your custom actions may disappear if you don’t save them. Better to be safe!*** ***Just wanted to add a note about the first action we create at timecode **2:12**- when recording yourself creating a 3” x 3” artboard, make sure to keep the file UNTITLED when you record your action. oh yes i did, and thank you for that. i use actions in flats drawing such as create 5 buttons and then evenly distribute them, or make double stitching... but never used it to create patterns.

Hi there. I find that creating repeats using the manual method gives me more control over my print development overall than the pattern tool does. It’s fine to use either method- just depends on your preference.
